hey computer experts and audio folx

is there any way i can force my computer to initialize my audio drivers or reload them or force applications to release the drivers or however you would properly say what i'm trying to say if i'm making any sense whatsoever...gasp...

some kind of command line thing? anything?

after i've played that jeopardy thing, the driver says "in use" even though i've closed the program. so far i've had to restart the computer to get that driver back.

any ideas, thanks
