CLASSIC

alix (alix), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 13:35 (twenty-three years ago)

katie (katie), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 13:37 (twenty-three years ago)

'Informer' is classic (groan)

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 13:41 (twenty-three years ago)

when u r eating it, classic. when u r shoveling it, dud.

when you are eating it as you are shoveling it and noticing how dirrty it is, ultradud

Vic (Vic), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 13:46 (twenty-three years ago)

i threw snowballs at roadsigns whilst waiting for a lift this morning.

so CLASSIC.

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 13:56 (twenty-three years ago)

I hate snow. Does this mean I hate fun? I hope not.

Jason J, Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Snow makes me proud to hate fun.

Tom (Groke), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:27 (twenty-three years ago)

yes, snow looks good for 5 minutes otherwise=dud.

michael wells (michael w.), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:29 (twenty-three years ago)

Have we had "Fun: C/D?"?

Alan (Alan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:33 (twenty-three years ago)

how can you hate fun....?

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:34 (twenty-three years ago)

You can't ski without snow, well you can but its not much fun, same with tobogaaning and trying to build a snow fort and snow man. You can't give snowjobs to kids you hate without the snow part either. And they don't close schools for rain round these parts. Makes donuts in a parkinglot sooo much more fun.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:37 (twenty-three years ago)

What is WRONG with half you people? Especially if you live in the UK where it snows properly once every three years. Snow is CLASSIC, CLASSIC, CLASSIC! And I have just spent lunchtime in Green Park having snowball fights and making a big cowboy snowman. If anyone sees him, say hello.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:40 (twenty-three years ago)

Noodles is OTM about snowjobs. How about face washes? Living in a city notorious for snow and having very little at the beginning of January = DUD.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:49 (twenty-three years ago)

IT'S SNOWING IN OXFORD!!!

Only a little bit, just a few flakes, but it's definitely snowing! Yay!

C J (C J), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:49 (twenty-three years ago)

what the hell is a snow job??

michael wells (michael w.), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:49 (twenty-three years ago)

sunny in liverpool. i feel like there's all this weather going on and i'm missing out.

michael wells (michael w.), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Still not snowing here. Getting cloudier but that probably just means rain. Bah.

robster (robster), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:52 (twenty-three years ago)

I went for a beautiful walk on Barnes Common in the snow. Everything felt just right. I then went to play football in it - a proper game - and that was not right, mainly cos my lungs couldn't handle the coldness of the air. I drove my scooter to the footie - THAT was an interesting experience fo sho.

Mark C (Mark C), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey Sackville and most of NS & NB got 30 to 35 cms on the weekend.

But to answer your quetion a snowjob is when you heap up tons of snow in your mitts, run up behind someone you don't like and then proceed to jam it in their face and rub it in. Otherwise you can trip them and rub their face in a snowbank. The end result is the same. Snow being raked across a face, not plesant.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:56 (twenty-three years ago)

you bastard. how can you make fun, cutesy snow into a weapon?

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:57 (twenty-three years ago)

By packing it together into a ball and chucking it. the wetter the better though slush should be avoided cause that leads to going to the principals office. Slush is great on the out walls of a fort. Proper snowball construction is well documented in various Calvin & Hobbes books.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:00 (twenty-three years ago)

arrr, snowballs don't count as weapons. they are balls of fun.

this snowjob thing though... sounds a bit nasty...

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Balls of fun means something else to me.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:06 (twenty-three years ago)

snow is a massive dud even though sledding is lots of fun

J0hn Darn13ll3 (J0hn Darn13ll3), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:07 (twenty-three years ago)

big fat classic

stevem (blueski), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Snow is TOTAL CLASSIC.

Oh, that kind of snow. That's TOTAL CLASSIC as well.

DV (dirtyvicar), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:13 (twenty-three years ago)

To prairie kids a snobjob was coming up behind someone and putting snow down the back of their parka whereas a face wash was "snow being raked across a face". Funny winter story: I was playing ball hockey with my brother in our driveway one night when he, for reasons I still haven't figured out, decided to hold on to the end of his stick sorta like a golf club, and proceeded to "golf" the frozen tennis ball at me, catching me square in the nuts. If I'm infertile, it's because of that incident. "I can smile about it now but at the time it was terrible."

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Snow is so classic. Especially because during the last big storm my parents decided I do a lot more around the house than my brothers so they had to shovel and I didn't. All the benefits, none of the pain.

Maria (Maria), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:23 (twenty-three years ago)

classic, of course. if there's enough of it the trains will stop working and can all take a day off work.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:26 (twenty-three years ago)

I threw a snowball at a police-woman once, in jape and I threw it very softly, and she went barmy and accused me of throwing a 'missile'

therefore:
Snowballs=classic
Law Enforcement=facists

Fuzzy (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Don't throw snowballs at stranges, unless they are drunken cute girls, and in that case throw it over their heads and let them hit you dead center.

As for Bryan's story, it happened to a friend of mine, getting hit in the sac with a frozen tennis ball during a street hockey game. Problem was his testies got twisted. He ended up going to the hospital for it. Apparently twisted testies is not a good thing on a level far above serious discomfort.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:40 (twenty-three years ago)

I hope it snows.

Ronan (Ronan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:42 (twenty-three years ago)

I threw a snowball at a police-woman once, in jape and I threw it very softly, and she went barmy and accused me of throwing a 'missile'

fuck yeah! i'm gonna do this tonight!

g-kit (g-kit), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:50 (twenty-three years ago)

After my sacking, I fell down on the ground, looked up at my brother laughing insanely, managed to get up and make it into the house where I went to bed at about 7 pm. Slept it off and felt mostly ok the next day. Tend to be extra careful with 'em now.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:01 (twenty-three years ago)

Well my friend tried to sleep it off but he was having hot and cold flashes and sweating and crap. It was funny at the time cause we didnt know it was that messed up.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:05 (twenty-three years ago)

That's way I felt, but I was lucky in that there was no permanent damage that I'm so far aware of. Haven't tried to have kids yet, though. Are you up for a FAP in TO sometime around February 16th, Noodles? I'll be there staying with Sean C.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:08 (twenty-three years ago)

Last mention of FAPs in a non-FAP thread. Sorry all.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:12 (twenty-three years ago)

"Apparently twisted testies is not a good thing on a level far above serious discomfort"

I think the proper name is a torsion (sp?) I know somebody it happened to and they gave him morphine at A&E, it's serious shit.

smee (smee), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:13 (twenty-three years ago)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:20 (twenty-three years ago)

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 17:53 (twenty-three years ago)

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 18:40 (twenty-three years ago)

What a moody leaf he was.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 20:19 (twenty-three years ago)

Who often battled with McInnis for the hardest shot championship at the All Star game, and who was noted as one of the few NHL players who smoked.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 20:34 (twenty-three years ago)

Why has no one said informer, me dont play dem?

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 20:43 (twenty-three years ago)

That joke's been made twice already!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 20:45 (twenty-three years ago)

damg, must read thread more carefully.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 20:49 (twenty-three years ago)

THE MOST CLASSIC THING IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.

jel -- (jel), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 20:49 (twenty-three years ago)

THE MOST CLASSIC THING IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. Nope. That would be seeing your arch nemesis slip and fall face first into a pile of yellow snow.
Even more classic if the snow was yellowed by you

brg30 (brg30), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 23:04 (twenty-three years ago)

Heh, don't you go where the huskey's go and don't you eat that yellow snow!
