Do these begging sites really work? Has anyone ever got something for nothing from strangers on the internet?

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:43 (twenty-three years ago)

Hehe. I have lots of shame, I consider myself to be very expensive, and 'skank' is my favorite word.

There was also that girl who spent thousands on Prada and coffee (apparently) and managed to get her whole debt paid off by internet metalists.

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:51 (twenty-three years ago)

Didn't some woman completely pay off her college debts this way? Think it did the rounds by email but as usual I can't remember the details. Think it just goes to prove that people are STOOPID.

Um, yeah, that was the one. Thanks Archel. Mental note: type quicker.

SittingPretty (sittingpretty), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:54 (twenty-three years ago)

Although why metalists? Did Kerrang have a link to her site? ;o)

SittingPretty (sittingpretty), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:55 (twenty-three years ago)

Hehe oops. That would be *far* too much of a niche market to appeal to if you wanted fast cash...

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 14:58 (twenty-three years ago)

When Ed read your response out loud, my first response was Meta-Lists? good god, the post-modern thing on ILX is getting out of hand...

Does writing portrait songs for cash count? (Not that anyone on this board has ever done that... oh no.)

kate, Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:08 (twenty-three years ago)

The Webbernet paid for my sins.

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:12 (twenty-three years ago)

It doesn't, Kate. With the portrait-songs-for-cash thing you are selling something. This cheeky bint isn't selling anything. She even refused to pose naked to get one of them done. Bloody ungrateful if you ask me. Also, I think she should do something about the fact that she is missing the top of her head before she sorts her tits out.

SittingPretty (sittingpretty), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 15:14 (twenty-three years ago)

Jay-Jay's College Fund

This guy was Usenet's first spammer.

Christine "Green Leafy Dragon" Indigo (cindigo), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:40 (twenty-three years ago)

the picture i'm getting of suzyedkate's home life improves every minute

ed: "and now mark s says 'the picture i'm getting of suzyedkate's home life improves every minute'"
suzy: "let's twat him"
kate: "clean up this meat first!!"

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:47 (twenty-three years ago)

I cleaned up the meat, and the rest of the kitchen. When are you coming round for dinner, or have suzy and kate not done their duty and invited you yet.

Ed (dali), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:53 (twenty-three years ago)

not tonight, as i am seeing 2 towers for the 2th time, this time w.dr vick

it has been mooted but no pencilling in was achieved as xmas loomed, windowless: but i am hot for it now, starting next week possibly

mark s (mark s), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 16:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Somehow it's much worse to think of one's typos being shouted across a room than them being read by thousands...

Archel (Archel), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 17:05 (twenty-three years ago)

I wouldn't worry. I dare anyone to say they haven't made one at some time or other. Unfortunately for everyone, most aren't as funny. (And no, that's not laughing *at* you - I've seen what you've put in the being hated thread..... :o) )

SittingPretty (sittingpretty), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 17:13 (twenty-three years ago)

What if people just keep giving her more and more money. Is there a limit to the boob augmentation?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 18:19 (twenty-three years ago)

HAHA! "Okay, I've got boobs on the front, the back, and the sides now. Another $5K and I'll slap a couple on my thighs!"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 18:26 (twenty-three years ago)

Thighboobs sound good, but where would you find the nipples?

Curtis Stephens, Wednesday, 8 January 2003 20:30 (twenty-three years ago)

She'll have to put boobs on her boobs eventually. Boobboobs.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 21:02 (twenty-three years ago)

Michel? Is this the man who got a set of breast implants to win a bet?

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 21:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Dec. 29, 2002 - Someone offered to pay for half of the boob job if I pose nude for his web site. Thanks dude, but a girl with just ONE big boob ain't sexy!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 8 January 2003 21:25 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd totally do it, when I need to pay off my college loans, you'll see me begging on my blog with suggestive pictures of me accompanying my sob story. People on the internet are insane. That includes all of you.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 9 January 2003 03:22 (twenty-three years ago)

This sounds like a great way to get that second penis sticking out of my forehead I've always dreamed about.

Tom Millar (Millar), Thursday, 9 January 2003 03:25 (twenty-three years ago)

so what was it like getting the first one to stick out of your forehead?

electric sound of jim (electricsound), Thursday, 9 January 2003 03:29 (twenty-three years ago)

This is now officially the best thread ever.

Archel (Archel), Thursday, 9 January 2003 10:48 (twenty-three years ago)

i remember that man - he got them for the bet but then he kept them after the agreed period was over cos 'chix diggit'

minna (minna), Thursday, 9 January 2003 12:24 (twenty-three years ago)

Spare Some Change, Guv

Spare Some Change, Guv, Thursday, 9 January 2003 13:22 (twenty-three years ago)

The site was on The Register yesterday and now she's got over $450. That is madness.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:03 (twenty-three years ago)

OK, I'm becoming mildly obsessed with the boob girl's project however with tickled me from her webmail page"

'Non importa il seno ke hai ma la testa!!!' (sic)

Which she takes as a compliment but actually means, "Its doesn't matter that you are sick in the head"

Ed (dali), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:15 (twenty-three years ago)

I really am tempted to put up one of those pages myself if even the most idiotic pleas for cash end up working as well as this one! I just need to take a skanky looking picture to attract the lonely and wealthy meng out there.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:17 (twenty-three years ago)

you just need to work out how to make it 'news' so a well read site picks up on it.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:19 (twenty-three years ago)

I need the money to fufill my dream of buying a big rig and a baboon to live out BJ and the Bear? Perhaps something more timely than that.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Wacky begging site ideas are what passes for business innovation in today's sick decaying world.

N. (nickdastoor), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:22 (twenty-three years ago)

The internet is the New Babylon, discuss.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:24 (twenty-three years ago)

The site was on The Register yesterday and now she's got over $450.

Ha ha. I noticed she got loads of money yesterday, but I was thinking it was due to the ILX link!! Oh those ILXors and their boob fetishes...

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Does anyone here even have money though? Maybe if we all put our pocket change together we could buy a pizza, but I think that's about it.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:28 (twenty-three years ago)

Can it be vegetarian?? I don't have any lunch plans.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Veggie is my favorite.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:30 (twenty-three years ago)

I actually convinced my boss to get the two of us a veggie lovers pizza the other day and he's an avid hunter.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Would "Begging for Moogs" be press-worthy? I saw one on ebay that I would lurve but of course I do not have the money.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:33 (twenty-three years ago)

Veggie pizza is good but only if it has onions on it, I have spoken.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:36 (twenty-three years ago)

veggie pizza with olives is the $h1+

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Mmm... Olives...

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Now this is what I call a thread mutation.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:42 (twenty-three years ago)

Why? Olives are rather round, like breasts. Makes sense.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:43 (twenty-three years ago)

when I lived in turin the pizza al taglio place nearest to my flat did a pizza that was just onions olives and rosemary, no cheese, no tomato sauce. Gorgeous.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:45 (twenty-three years ago)

I never imagined this thread would end up making me hungry.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:46 (twenty-three years ago)

What about thirsty?

*hides*

Sarah McLusky (coco), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:46 (twenty-three years ago)

Poor Nicole and her limited imagination...

What?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:48 (twenty-three years ago)

I knew that comment begged a Dang Perry response.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 9 January 2003 14:50 (twenty-three years ago)

Of course I read that as 'banged a Dang Perry response' initially, which says much.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 9 January 2003 15:59 (twenty-three years ago)

Would "Begging for Moogs" be press-worthy?
