He's very offended by Nicole and I! Over something we said a year ago +! BLIMEY! Also, he doesn't like Three's Company anymore. Thoughts?

(Apologies to those of you who aren't the old skool AMA group)

Ooh, I'm so glad my address isn't anywhere on the interweb...unless Ally sold me out so that he would let her live! ;-)

Isn't he supposed to be hardcore into Catholicism now anyway? If so, why is he googling himself? Doesn't really go with humility, sin of pride, etc...

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 03:42 (twenty-two years ago)

who is this ron traino person?

i just want to know because traino is such a cool name

sand.y, Friday, 10 January 2003 03:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Enlightenment can be found here.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 03:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Here's an excerpt of one of my favorite posts of his:

"I enjoyed Spiceworld immensely. I went to see that movie 7 times,
and I intend to buy the video as soon as it comes out. It is such an
exciting tale of 5 Girls, 5 lives, one story, as old as time itself, yet as new as freshly cut grass (and that's fresh)."

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 03:48 (twenty-two years ago)

You know, the sad part is I feel slightly dissed because I am not even good enough to send hate mail to! And I wanted to know his thoughts on Three's Company. Le sigh.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 04:03 (twenty-two years ago)

he's right about spice world, so maybe i shd check out hardcore catholicism

mark s (mark s), Friday, 10 January 2003 10:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I think you should, because the Catholic religiion is as old as time itself, yet as new as freshly cut grass (and that's fresh).

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 11:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I never had any contact with Ron Traino :(

Tom (Groke), Friday, 10 January 2003 11:33 (twenty-two years ago)

You never posted on alt.music.spice-girls though, did you?

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 13:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes I did! I got flamed for using the word "inchoate" and left ashamed.

Tom (Groke), Friday, 10 January 2003 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

ALLY PLEASE POST THE HATE MAIL NOW!

doom-e, Friday, 10 January 2003 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

This is a very funny thread.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Friday, 10 January 2003 13:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Ron Traino (JR!) is really depressing. Maybe I'm in the wrong mood.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 10 January 2003 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

This kind of thing might be why I can't quite LOVE pop music- what if someone really takes the lyrics to heart? Not quite the same w/the Fall or something.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 10 January 2003 13:42 (twenty-two years ago)

What! My wife and I have built our marriage around Mark E. Smith lyrics and have never been happier-uh

J0hn Darn13ll3 (J0hn Darn13ll3), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:03 (twenty-two years ago)

are you still doing what you were doing three years ago, john?

mark s (mark s), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:06 (twenty-two years ago)

we've got everything we want, except for mo-hu-hu-hu-nee!

obTraino the songs that he himself has written are here.

J0hn Darn13ll3 (J0hn Darn13ll3), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:10 (twenty-two years ago)

John those are the SADDEST bits... I meant, take Fall lyrics to heart all you want, they don't apply to much outside of themselves. Spice Girls etc lyrics do, or seem to. Oh and don't make a career of it, etc.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:13 (twenty-two years ago)

No bulbs in J0hn's flat.

Tim (Tim), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:14 (twenty-two years ago)

No xmas for J0hn D!

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:37 (twenty-two years ago)

The John D dream of a casino soul!

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 10 January 2003 14:41 (twenty-two years ago)

All this abuse of a poor struggling musician and his wife somewhere in the heartland. YOU PEOPLE ARE CRUEL.

As for Ron -- HAHAHAHAHAHA! Now I want K*t M*rco to write me for a laugh.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 10 January 2003 16:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Her glowing eyes continue to haunt you, don't they?

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 16:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Getting hate mail from Heather the Garbage Fan would be more impressive.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 10 January 2003 16:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm always haunted by her presence, dear. Heather, meanwhile, never directly got into a squabble with me that I can remember, so the impact would be more quizzical.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 10 January 2003 16:17 (twenty-two years ago)

I just remember the Heather/Ally throwdown, to be honest.

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 10 January 2003 16:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Because that was our only interaction with Heather, most likely...

Excerpt from Ron's email:

"I know you must know this already, but I'll inform you just in case you don't: masturbation is seriously against my religion. It is a mortal sin."

Also, he signs off "Yours In Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" and at one point says "What have I, what have I, what have I done to deserve this?" It's like the greatest letter of all time.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 13 January 2003 06:02 (twenty-two years ago)

ally - i'm so chuffed that you have decided to share the wisdom of ron traino but i am pleading - MORE MORE MORE!!
