Let's hear it. There has to be at least one drunken posting from the proceedings.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 24 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

ILE Double Live will be online within the hour, lack of bribery permitting.

Graham, Friday, 24 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It is good. Oh yes.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 24 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

For those of you waiting, I've got two MP3 files ready here: http://homepage.mac.com/dtcd/kareoke/, and I'll upload the rest later.

Graham, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I have never laughed, nor will I ever again, so hard. MAMAAAAA!!!

Dave M., Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's 9:20am the next morning and I am still drunk. Does that count?

Richard Tunnicliffe, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It might count for more if it were not the case every day, Richard

Graham I am three generations of technology behind everyone else and thus MP3s are a closed book to me. I even still have to pay money to listen to music! (=clownstyle). Yet it is v.v.u&k that this particular book is not closed forever.

mark s, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I had a jolly nice evening, thanks all, and the divine LC enjoyed herself too. She IS real, you see!

DG, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i want photos, nude photos, now!

Geoff, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

who is that fucking heckler?

Geoff, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"...now's he's *DEAD*!". Classic. "Mamaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!"

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Is that Pete with the posh accent? Or is it ALL OF YOU HA HA HA.

Greg, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Be quiet, you northern oik.

DG, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Mark, do you have StuffIt/StuffIt Expander, Internet Config, ResEdit, or QuickTime? If so, I'm sure I can provide something even your horsedrawn Mac can play.

Graham, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

StuffIt/StuffIt Expander: yes/yes, tho not most recent version
Internet Config: seem to
ResEdit: don't seem to
QuickTime: yes

mark s, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

One More Time, Do You Really Like It? and Take On Me are now up. Mark, I can definitely do something for you.

Graham, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Right, all twelve tracks I recorded are now available here.

Mark: Drop the downloaded files onto StuffIt Expander, and you should be able to play the resultant files right in the Finder by just double clicking them, and pumping the bellows. It worked on my even more archaic Duo 230.

Graham, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

links fucked

anthony, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sorry, it's meant to be the same as the first one: http://homepage.mac.com/dtcd/kareoke/

Graham, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

'Hang the DG' indeed. Hmph.

DG, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Thanks Graham: of course they won't unstuff. I remain trapped between 4.5 basic (not powerful enuff) and 6.1 (too spiff to run on my OS: after an hour-odd downloading it). I'm gunna try and find a 4.5 expanded at work on Tues, as download time is not so maddening.

New pooter for sad old mark s before year's end, no?

mark s, Sunday, 26 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I did use a copy of Drupstuff 4.0 to make them, but I've just realised it would have still used the spangley new version I have to do the encoding, so that's why they don't work. I'll try again.

Graham, Sunday, 26 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Okay Mark. Get shovelling coal, stoke the boiler, unfurl the main sail, and prepare to point and laugh. I've reStuffed everything with Stuffit 4.0 (which involved nearly dropping a Powerbook 165c battery through my G4's screen, but I digress), which has made everything about 30% bigger, but you now be able to unstuff it.

Graham, Sunday, 26 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

K-Blimey. Live at the Roxy HAH!! PunXoR not dead HAH!! 30 Seconds over Karaokyo HAH!! Graham I really really really hope you didn't spend the whole day formating those just for me: either way I owe you the pint the ILEK Massive all, er, anti-owe you.

mark s, Sunday, 26 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am ashamed. I actually forgot the real lyrics to the Scottish Song. Too bad they didn't have a pitch shifter on the machine... And then Paul sat at a table with his cool mates in bands totally blanking me so I went home and got in a fight with a building. Poo.

Kate the Saint, Monday, 27 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Did the building lose?

Ned Raggett, Monday, 27 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh yeah. I know I might have massive bruises, but man... you should see the big hole in Old Compton St!

Kate the Saint, Monday, 27 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

OI - I knew some of the verses to it... this time!! Uh, really! I got a standing ovation, don't you know, you're all my besht mates, etc etc.

And One More Time, unless I was drunker than what I thought I woz, was actually featuring the voices of myself, Paul Strange and Tom. This was to my surprise as I thought Paul was being called up to howl "Paint it Black".

Then I hear the magical beginnings of Daft Punk. Aaarrrrrr!

Beth from The Gossip is amazing and I love her and whoever said pro singers should be banned wuz ROIGHT.

Sarah, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am apalled at the heckling during my sterling rendition of "One More Time".

NB did anyone find any of this phantom booze up Primrose Hill?

Tom, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Couldn't face it in the end, after realising in tube station - somewhat belatedly - SOUTH LONDON RESIDENCE - Primrose Hill vvvv far away. AND UP A COCKFARMING HILL. Did you end up staying in Berwick St after all? And where/how was it?

Sarah, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Primrose Hill up a hill shocker

mark s, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We went to Syndrome, which has mutated into a nitemare vision of what Club Sussed might be if it moved to London and got v.successful. You dance to the HITZ but at the price of your soul. (And stomach and head). Trendy indie rokkstars unlikely to be impressed, eheu.

Tom, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

one day lad, one day. incidentally, 20 september (ie next sussed, kids) sees THREE leaving dos at borders, so that'll be nice :)

carsmilesteve, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

DJ Cockfarmer will of course be playing Five at Sussed Five.

Tom, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What a pity. My version of Centrefold completely missed out, and the link to Take On Me not working. And terrible holler on Bo Rap. And no Greg that is not me with the posh voice.

Pete, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I cannot WAIT to get home to my sparkly new DSL setup to download and play these goodies. Sarah and Emma ROCKED THE HOUSE, y'all.

I have to say that I was really PEEVED that I had a 9:00 AM rehearsal the next day as I was in line to do a STELLAR performance of "Word Up!" by Cameo.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 28 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Right, I've fixed Take on Me and corrected some details (Here if you've forgotten already)

Graham, Wednesday, 29 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

nineteen years pass...

hey, drop some 'karaoke' tracks of yours, however you record em. preferably drunk. which i am not. but you should be.
