I am in exam mode, how are you

I have been in this library since 8.30 and all day yesterday and most of last week all day and until today I'd done hardly any work. I realise this is no work to most of you but everythings relative and I'm used to my 10 hour week with days off thursdays and fridays.

Is anyone else doing exams soon? I am! I am only worried about 1 but failing it would be kind of a pain. I actually desperately can't wait to be finished next week, and then my parents are going to South Africa and there's about 3 gigs I've been looking forward to for months in February.

I also just put a lame joke into an essay out of sheer boredom.

The good news is after next tuesday I have 2 weeks off. Is January a crap month for everyone else?

it is the depressing post Christmas break month for me.

i LOVE January...its a weird time of year because the year is starting but its still ages until Spring when things really kick off. But January is when a lot of great music comes out that ends up slipping by you if you're not careful (fortunately this didnt happen with Ladytron, Avalanches and Streets albums) so keep em peeled. of course i dont have to worry about exams these days so that the real plus...i do have to see about getting a new job soon as my current one is likely to 'expire' anyday now

I suppose college is all like a break. Journalism is a course for wasters, we um......kinda have the odd lecture here and there and then 3 exams, even if I do fail one repeat in August is easily manageable, I don't even like what I'm doing mostly but it's just a case of floating along regardless. It really is conducive to a life of "um yeah i'll do it next week", i can't believe i've been in the course for this long already.

sounds like ALL media-based courses to me

Maybe yeah, I don't know whether it's classic or dud.

Not in exam mode, but have long lecture/screening tonight which will make me decide v.v.quickly whether I made the right choice re-this terms options.

i too have exams, but you knew that, didn't you. can't wait for those 12 days off. i'll be goin to a few gigs in those days too, and i'm drooling with the anticipation.

"I also just put a lame joke into an essay out of sheer boredom."

It's too lame, I may delete it though I'm sure trendy young adidas wearing lecturer M*rk O'Brien might appreciate it eh?

January is depressing, it's right between Christmas break and Regents week (at least I've got a week off there). But yes finals are coming and I have SO much homework tonight and I'm SO not doing it, I'm trying to get to some relaxed zen state of mind or something first. I'm not even IN college yet!

I'm giving exams, does this count?

That Girl (thatgirl), Wednesday, 15 January 2003 01:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Here finals week is just three days where we take a few tests and then leave after a couple hours so it's no problem, but I'm sure it sucks horribly in college. Speaking of which the "um yeah i'll do it next week" philosophy has really screwed me over in regards to applications and I have no idea where I want to go with the 1/1 deadline already gone and the other (2/1) approaching quickly, so yeah this is a crap month for me.
