Eating = boring

dave q, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's either yoghurt or cornflakes. Nothing else.

nathalie, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I had suger-free Alpen with water.
Nice actually.

DavidM, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Chocolate Alpen this morning. You get that early morning sugar rush and enough roughage to 'keep you regular'.

Billy Dods, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

A fry with sausages, rashers and egg. Especially if your hungover.

Michael Bourke, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Wot is this 'Alpen' that you speak of?

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Breakfast = good, but I can easily live on a small thing of apple juice and a breakfast bar or the like. Every so often I indulge myself with a fuller one.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I had a SlimFast for breakfast. The only breakfast cereal I ever eat is Multi-Bran Chex.

Ally, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Alpen is a proprietary brand of muesli, much sneered at by the fascist muesli police for having too much sugar and not being authentically Swiss enough.

Billy Dods, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Coffee. I don't eat in the morning. Then again, I don't get up until almost noon, so maybe its not the morning. Also, cereal = grate, but not in morning.

jess, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I had specila K

Mike Hanle y, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Did you get hi?

nathalie, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

something gross i have discovered, some sugary breakfast cereals make one's pee smell funny.

jel, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can't figure it out. If I eat too little I'm hungry by 9 AM. If I eat too much I feel disgusting all morning. If I don't eat I'm hungry by 10 AM. If I wake up after 9 I wait for lunch usually. Still, it's fairly classic because I like it.

Search for cereals: Honey Bunches of Oats (what I eat most mornings), Raisin Bran, Reese's Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, anything with cute little marshmallows. Also instant oatmeal (which I first typed as 'e- mail'). Sourdough bread or big fresh bagels with butter and strawberry jam. Croissants with egg and cheese. Leftover pizza. French toast.

Destroy: Any kind of Cheerios, especially the Oreo flavored ones that turn the milk blue. Alphabits without marshmallows, as they are the only redeeming value. Cookie Crunch. Tiny frozen tasteless bagels or white toast. Granola bars as they will leave you starving within half an hour. Sausage.

breakfast is fucked - my bowels go ape shit if i put anything in my gut other than coffee or chocolate before 1pm.

Geoff, Saturday, 25 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

On weekdays, my pre-noon food intake is very limited. Always, always, have a cup of french vanilla coffee with milk. I used to avoid breakfast all together, but working regular hours so long now has kind of forced me into this routine where I really flag if I don't eat something during my morning break - so I usually get a bagel with a slice of cheddar cheese or alternately, some multigrain toast with mayo, lettuce and tomato. Yummy. Occasionally will change it up with some juice, fruit salad or a yoghurt. Weekend breakfasts rarely happen, as it is very difficult to get up and feed yourself while in a semi-comatose state of exhaustion.

Today we had! muffins! w/ peanut butter! & ice cream! "I'll die young...but it's like kissing god".

duane, Sunday, 26 August 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ah, breakfast! The most important breakfast of the day.

Today I had Frosties and then an orange. Which is what I have most days. Sometimes without the orange.
