its so sunny and fun, makes me want to avoid all of the dark muddy irony drenched ugly black clad cynicism of the rest of the rags-dont know who made the choice, but ace ! (was going to email you this, but it seems to be fucked)

Anthony I mailed you at shaw.ca address; what gives? And thanks!

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 2 February 2003 08:18 (twenty-two years ago)

anthony easton (anthony), Sunday, 2 February 2003 08:24 (twenty-two years ago)

i like i-d, has it changed somehow in this issue you speak of?

minna (minna), Sunday, 2 February 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

it has pics of naomi campbell with a can of soup on her head

erik, Sunday, 2 February 2003 12:44 (twenty-two years ago)

actually i'm reading it now

erik, Sunday, 2 February 2003 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I said to someone in the office that it would be a successful issue because a) soup can looks a bit like being thrown at her head and b) most people I know would love to chuck something, anything at Omi's head as whatever that could be is more substantial than actual contents of said head.

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 2 February 2003 13:49 (twenty-two years ago)

That is a theory I heartily endorse. I wish I had seen this magazine cover.

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 2 February 2003 13:50 (twenty-two years ago)

There is only one person I know on the magazine's fashion team who gets on with her, and he is a v. queeny black guy with many, many sisters who has been a fashion ed since he was 18 and is not a model-coddler.

(also can you guys do me a favour and not refer directly to Edgy Mag? I've vented way too much about working there to be safe from idle googling)

suzy (suzy), Sunday, 2 February 2003 13:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Perhaps a mod could change it to 1-D magazine or somesuch fiendish cipher.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 2 February 2003 14:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Or a rocker, even.

Nicole (Nicole), Sunday, 2 February 2003 14:01 (twenty-two years ago)

i was flicking through it earlier and did a bit of a double-take when i saw the phrase "dirty dronerock boys", until i realised who'd written the piece in question.

toby (tsg20), Sunday, 2 February 2003 14:54 (twenty-two years ago)

DDB = the fnord (or one of them) of the ILXminatti.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 2 February 2003 15:45 (twenty-two years ago)

LOL hope you are referring to the latest evidence of my summer of interviewing supermodels and not the surprise folding of Industrial Design.
