at the start i felt sorry for him. then for the remaining hour and a half it was a freakish descent into creepy weirdville. how can a grown man not see that sharing his bedroom with kids (who aren't related to him in any way) is going to make a lot of people wary of him? He described any parents who forbade their children from spending the night in his house as "wacky". Hmmm...And I think I laughed up a lung at the bit where he said he wanted to adopt two children from every continent in the world.

Opinions?

Pity the last panel is missing...

I thought it was all really creepy, and all really sad.

It just seems a shame, really...

Admittedly I was watching Shooting Stars at the same time, but it was in parts creepy, illuminating, hilarious, but overall just sad. I guess there is a thread of logic, but it was stretched very thin. He may be weird, but is he harmless?

"Black people used to be called "coloured", because we're all sorts of different colours".

That is the funniest thing I've heard on TV all year. I think it's my new family motto.

So who produced this? Who interviewed? We have a couple of these coming up in the States; would be curious to see if there was any content overlap.

fuck, I didn't even read the story I linked to. So we Yanks will see this special in a couple of days, then we'll get another one! hahaha...I guess...

Urgent request:

A journalist is being annoying. He wants to know about children Michael Jackson has been 'linked' to. I gave him all the Macauley Culkin / Jordie Chandler stuff but he says he doesn't just want things that have been investigated by police - just any kids that Jackson has been seen with. I guess he means child stars mainly. He seems to think there'll be a 'list'. Can anyone enlighten me? I man he's never hung out with Haley Joel Osment, has he?

I know about the midget Emmanuel Lewis and the other two boys investigated at the same time as Culkin.

And Sean Lennon.

I saw Laurie Anderson once, and during a monologue, she had described a surreal experience - seeing one of the massive Michael Jackson statues that was accompanied by audio of a fake, loud, adoring audience. I don't want to embellish terribly on what she said, but I think the gist was that it would make more sense to view him as a modern artist instead of a pop star. I mean, don't modern artists do a lot of crazy crap, and people don't blink an eye at them? (But yes, yes, it is *because* he is a pop star that he gets so much scrutiny, and even by modern art standards, he is creepy.)
