Libeskind vs Think Team vs none of the above

the two finalists for Tower Idol have been announced. i suspect the Think Team design will win because it resembles the original WTC more - tho personally i think that is a bad idea (we need to remember but we also need to forget, replicating the appearance in this way could be taken a number of ways - maybe too provocative/offensive to some) and prefer the Libeskind design...if there has to be a replacement at all.

Neither, I still prefer and have always preferred absolutely nothing there.

I like think. Watch the slideshow with the animation of the think design...it makes more sense when you see it that way.

I must say I would of picked the Libeskind from the original list but qould have chosen Zaha Hadid over any of the list. I'm just glad that Foster's didn't get it. Fosters are becoming a byword for generic modern architecture.

would the Think effort really be that transparent?! what i hate about the whole thing is it seems like the main concern for the planners is the height - there seems to be this automatic consensus that it must be the biggest structure in the world, and its hard for people like me to see the real merit of that. i'm sure this has been argued about enough on previous threads though.

Plus, as mentioned on the previous thread, there's a strong case for choosing a design that doesn't just scream "attack us again!"
