Because men talk more than women? Because men have more spare time? Both true, and both linked to ILX-contributing, I would say. Not that I accept the premise entirely anyway, though the most frequent posters lists are always male-dominated.

Still 8/10 men on ILE though, and although I haven't been counting, I wouldn't think that's far from average. I don't suggest this as a good thing at all, just a non-surprising one.

1) in terms of number of posters, there are waaay too few female posters, although ILx probably isn't as much of a sausage party as other boards.

2) in terms of impact (whatever that means) I would say the female posters more than hold their own. I could probably name as many (maybe more) female posters off the top of my head as I could male posters.
