Recently I have noticed a trend among ILE people.

1. All the women (according to the bras thread) have huge boobs. Wow, I just gotta say it. Wow. Now explain yrselves.

2. The median age seems to be 29. As in I haven't done the math exactly but 29 seems to be a popular age around here. Explain yrselves.

3. How many of you have actual jobs? That pay money? That are full-time? I've noticed a lot of ILxorz seem to be freelance or unemployed. Explain yrselves.

2) 28 and 10 months

3) A job in the voluntary sector that sees me do wonderful work that makes the world a better place, but is poorly paid. I get my reward in heaven, whilst is cold comfort to an agnostic.

2. I'm only 26
3. I have a 3/4 time job, like 27 hours a week, I'll probably end up working 36 hours soon :(. I'm a library assistant, it's a good job as I don't have to sit around typing up reports or go to lots meetings. I mainly do literature searches, order ILLs, catalogue books, think.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 7 February 2003 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

1. I have no 'boobs', but my arse is pretty shapely.
2. 37.
3. Yes, full time.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Friday, 7 February 2003 18:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 7 February 2003 19:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah - I'm 29, I work in a kind of library and I got accused of having manboobs for the first time ever this afternoon. And I have no testicles.

N. (nickdastoor), Friday, 7 February 2003 19:24 (twenty-two years ago)

You shouldn't have had that facelift, N. They've pulled everything upwards way too much if your testicles are being mistaken for man-boobs. I like your new tie though.

C J (C J), Friday, 7 February 2003 19:29 (twenty-two years ago)

manboobs can be entertaining, though; was it said in a nice way or a not-so-nice way?

if it makes you feel better, my boobs aren't exactly small, and my bassist (who is male) has ones that are fast encroaching upon my size---albeit they spread out a bit more across his girth chest...

(he can't possibly be cool, though---he's never worked in a library! :) )

janni (janni), Friday, 7 February 2003 19:31 (twenty-two years ago)

@d@ml (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 20:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha, I work 40 hrs at the same place every week and have NO benefits!
Ooh, I know of those workplaces. Too many of my relatives have been employed at similar. But yeah, in October of last year my dental insurance (lots of importance on dentistry at my place of employment, interestingly enough) and 401(k) kicked in, and for those working 40 hrs/week or more they provide an awesome medical insurance package and vacation and maternity leave and retirement and on-site day care and... just so much. *wistful sigh* Wish I'd discovered this place earlier. Wouldn't have taken up employment at Hades Corp. then.

2. 24 years old
3. I am a student.

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:09 (twenty-one years ago)

ipso your tits are not way too big. i have never seen you but i know this.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Is this where the women of ILX start knocking down the claims of big knockers?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:23 (twenty-one years ago)

No seriously they are. I'm like an 18DD or something

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:29 (twenty-one years ago)

that isn't too big.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:42 (twenty-one years ago)

It's too big for my liking.

Both my sisters are like 10B's :(

ipsofacto (ipsofacto), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I sense that you disapprove of the whole concept of too big, di.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:44 (twenty-one years ago)

yes. its a silly concept. it pains me when women feel uncomfortable in their own bodies.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:46 (twenty-one years ago)

sometimes when large busts cause back pains and other problems that can be a case of "too big" and understandable discomfort.

Ask For Janice (thatgirl), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:47 (twenty-one years ago)

yes. but it also bugs me when people assume a woman might suffer from those things just cos shes well endowed.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:49 (twenty-one years ago)

it bothers you when people might assume something?

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:51 (twenty-one years ago)

yes i do have a personal take on this matter, but i'd rather not talk about it in terms of my OWN breasts, it freaks me out.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:54 (twenty-one years ago)

actually its kind of funny how defensive i get whenever these boob/bra threads pop up.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 22:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Have they invented a pop-up bra yet?

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

You would have lexis-nexis-ed it by now.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

no, but aren't there like inflatable ones?

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I only have Factiva and Dialog these days, sadly. When we cancelled our contract I tried to draw attention to the loss of key sources like 'Bra Bulletin' but my concerns were overruled.

N. (nickdastoor), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 23:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't have any of them now. :-(

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Wednesday, 10 March 2004 23:08 (twenty-one years ago)

sorryfor being a jerk.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 11 March 2004 03:36 (twenty-one years ago)

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Thursday, 11 March 2004 03:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I go to school full-time and work in a bakery about eighteen hours a week. I spend roughly twelve of those eighteen hours dancing, singing, and/or eating honey straws.

kirsten (kirsten), Thursday, 11 March 2004 03:42 (twenty-one years ago)

honey straws remind me of 1992 and the science fair.

mandee, Thursday, 11 March 2004 04:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Did you make a honey volcano?

kirsten (kirsten), Thursday, 11 March 2004 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

For my elementary school science fair, I carved an anatomically-correct male baby out of a Virginia ham.

kirsten (kirsten), Thursday, 11 March 2004 04:08 (twenty-one years ago)

me, like many other sixth graders at the time, did a blindfolded taste test of crystal pepsi vs. regular pepsi.

mandee, Thursday, 11 March 2004 04:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Update/clarification:

1) They go into room five minutes ahead of the rest of me.
2) No comment.
3) Still temping. Working full-time this week, tho.

01. I, for one, love huge boobs. Though I also appreciate a svelte, athletic physique. Variety is the spice of life.

02. I am currently 31 and, as such, close to the median.

03. I work from home. I am technically part of a design firm, though such does consist of three people. So I am close to freelancing, but a hair away from technically qualifying.

I am proud to be a member the likely ILX quantum

Pillbox, Wednesday, 5 November 2008 08:13 (sixteen years ago)

2. 29, so totally average.
3. I work half-time, still working on my master's degree on women's studies. I've finally started working on my master's thesis.
