Static electricity on the rise?

For the past month or two I've been getting shocked by everything, no matter what I'm wearing or what I'm touching. Sometimes it's actually painful! And just now I shocked myself on a fucking water cooler!!! What the hell's going on? Am I turning into a superhero? Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon?

My office is a hotbed of static electricity in the winter when the air gets dry. I would like to say that I have gotten used to the constant shocks, but that would be a lie; it still sucks. Yeah, I basically can't walk around or touch anything without getting zapped.

yanc3y have you been having more vivid dreams lately? more nocturnal brain activity caused by increase of electrical discharge perhaps?

Yeah - I hardly ever used to get it but lately, quite a lot. Today I gave someone a shock in fact. Must be something in the weather. Or a sign that the world is going to end.

Just your office, Nick? I think it's the dry air too, but getting shocked by a PLASTIC H20 COOLER is ridiculous!

I have been having vivid dreams, stevem. Could that really be true?

Might Al Qaeda be wearing us down with a slow and steady barage of shocked fingers???

I think its just the office because my apartment isn't carpeted.

I really expected this to be about the risk of getting blown up at the gas station because you're talking on your cell phone.
