I Need A Big Favor From Someone in The UK

I need one of these, and it's become apparent that Yamaha have little ro no intention of making them available in the USA.

If anybody is merciful and kind enough to trust me I would like to arrange some means of acquiring one (and paying you for it of course). I'm completely unfamiliar with safe overseas transactions however.

Thanks very much,

Millar (Millar), Friday, 21 February 2003 03:55 (twenty-two years ago)

can we make this a general UK care package thread?

I'd like someone to send me a UK copy of Houellebecq's - Platform. I'll pay for it too, used is great.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 21 February 2003 06:21 (twenty-two years ago)

And a little box of ribena. [not sparkling, please]

phil-two (phil-two), Friday, 21 February 2003 06:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm looking for a royal family. But I absolutely refuse to overpay.

I'll also check the Need A Favor From Someone In Belgium/Holland/Sweden/Japan/and Spain threads.

Madeleine (Madeleine), Friday, 21 February 2003 10:48 (twenty-two years ago)

It's a £50 music case, right?

I'll sort it out for you Millar. Contact me via email on kinawoodward@aol.com and we'll make the arrangements. There's actually a reciprocal favour you could do for me, if you like!

Hey Spencer -- I asked for peeps to be sending me Platform last summer -- no go. However! you can get it at Shakespeare & Co. in NY (they have a rockin Britsection). However! I think it's coming out in the US in June. (It's not so good unortunately.) But maybe British people like you more and have already started buying the book to send to you:) (You can also do Amazon UK--but you probabaly knew that.)

Mary (Mary), Friday, 21 February 2003 17:36 (twenty-two years ago)

actually, I saw it on Powell or Abe's and the total cost would be about $30 which would be comparable to the hardcover. I'll probably just order it...
