Reality tv
pros: american idol, the australian version of meet my folks
cons: everything else

Lifestyle programming
pros: uh... sometimes the female hosts wear tight t-shirts while droning ON AND ON about fucking gardening/interior designing. people seem to like that.
cons: that one annoying woman off ground force in new zealand

yeah, so which is worse and junks

Why on earth would you say that?

lifestyle tv cause it features Martha Stewart, who is hot in an undescribable but distrurbing way. Least you know she wears the pantson her compand. Joe Millionaire, Celebrity Mole, Bachelor/Bachellorette were just disturbing cause I act or want nothing to do with what was portraed on tv. At least Martha bakes some yummy food and has great hair. Its all about the fringe after all.

The worst are those Australian shows where they makeover your house in an afternoon. The new one is where they take some slobbish family and empty the contents of their home into their backyard and see how much stuff they want to keep. Real nail-biting programming, really.

though I guess the drama would come when some sort of long-lost teddy bear or love letter or something is found and people break down in tears.

No! Aspirational real estate travel programmes are the WORST!!! Let's take this suburban ning couple and send them off to buy cottages in France or castles in Romania!

FOR FUCKS SAKE!!! If you want to do a travel program, do a travel program

I have liked a small minority of reality shows, and zero lifestyle shows.

I find watching The Life Laundry relaxing.

Oh, here's an article about one person's experience going on Changing Rooms:

lifestyle programming is definitely worse, they don't even bother being melodramatic. although if you include the iron chef as lifestyle programming (well it's on the food channel), then it wins.
