if any incident in your life ever strongly resembled a winnie the pooh story, please relate that incident here

i hated that crazy pyromaniac mole who whistled through his teeth all the time, what a piss-poor character.

Remember the time that Pooh constructed his own home-made vibrator?

But what is the incident in your life that resembles? ;-)

I claim Tigger's first appearance in the canon, if only because his brash claims about what Tiggers are and what they are like sounds like me and my big mouth getting me into trouble more than once. Also because I was always taken by Tigger's introductory growl -- Worraworraworra -- which I have used here and there. When appropriate.

Those who have understandable issues with Disney's varying abominations upon the source material would appreciate both this link and Mr. Cranky's entertainingly evil demolition of The Tigger Movie.

I don't know if my life events have resembled the winnie the pooh stories outside of pretending to go on adventures in the forest/talk to animals when i was a littler boy.

"If I were John and John were me
He'd be 6 and I'd be 3
If John were me and I were John
Then I wouldn't have these trousers on!"

This poem reminds me of trouserless children. Sick!!

Once I ate some honey.

Aw, this thread is really annoying me, because I specifically remember, a couple of weeks ago, after some particular event, saying that I felt like eeyore on his birthday with his popped balloon and his empty honey pot. BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT THE PARTICULAR EVENT WAS!

my butt was actually too fat to get through one of the tunnels used to get to the manson caves / stoners den in box canyon above simi the first time i went there when i was like 12 and my friends had to pull me out. i wasnt the only one though!! they were caved in during the northridge earthquake which sucks cuz once you got in there was all this amazing art from kids from the 70s and candle wax covered the shit! there were like giant led zep murals and pink floyd paintings all over the cave. so sad :(

i remember in my first proper job being sent on a hunt for a file that had gone missing and then several days later seeing it and exclaiming "there it is!" only to be told that it had already been found and this was old news, thus feeling like Eeyore did when he saw Small, aka Very Small Beetle, who had previously been lost but had been found again and so ended up mumbling "nobody round here tells me anything" in the best Eeyore voice I could muster.

in the same job someone called me Tigger as they thought I had a bouncy walk.

Our favorite "silly old bear" has gone 80 years without a new adventure, but change is coming Oct. 5, when Dutton Children's Books will unveil the first authorized "Winnie-the-Pooh" sequel since A.A. Milne's 1928 "The House at Pooh Corner." Author David Benedictus and illustrator Mark Burgess, who have done adaptations of the original 1926 tale, will create "Return to the Hundred Acre Woods." Trustees for the estates of Milne and illustrator E.H. Shepard said, "We have been hoping for a good many years that we might one day be able to offer the world a sequel which would do justice to ... one of the greatest celebrations of childhood in any language."

Not to make too much of it, but these people are psychotic.

Maybe this is too literal, but when I was a kid my Dad used to take us to the park on Sundays. There was a creek by the park, and Dad taught us how to play 'pooh sticks' there. He didn't call it that, we just raced pieces of pampas grass, but I always felt like Pooh Bear when we played it.

Also if i get my head stuck in a sweater while I'm taking it off I worry that I'll be like pooh stuck in the door and have to call for people to come and help me out of it.
