"The Hours"... is that it?

Who else left this movie feeling vaguely dissatisfied and annoyed that the most interesting parts of the story were only hinted at or glossed over? Why are people going gaga over this film when it doesn't really have any substance and ignores several compelling stories to tell a mundane, blase story?

Yes Dan. That's it. Pointless huh.

It seemed that way. I look back at the hyperbolic "THIS MOVIE WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE" promo and wonder if the guy who wrote it lived under a rock eating beetles and discovered via this movie that he could live in a house and have his meals catered.

Film fails to live up to promotional hyperbole shocka!

I wasn't expecting the movie to change my life, but I was expecting it to be good, particularly after friends whose taste I trust told me how much they enjoyed it.

Jesus, by Dan's reaction here I am glad I wasn't subject to the hyperbole. (living in Spain does have it's pluses)
