And it's fucking amazing. I can't wait. I'm like a kid on Xmas Eve, except I have to wait longer than a few hours, boo hiss.

Anyone else more excited than they've been about a film in ages over this one?

You just saw it; when was the superbowl; did I miss it?

I think I'm more excited for the American release of Hypercube in April, but yeah it looks pretty exciting.

And a 3rd before year-end. Messrs Wachowski - you love us!

I'm trying to imagine the Wachowskis dressed like the Manics all glammed up and rocking out now.

All I've heard about is that it looks very green

There are some new trailers up. It's fair to say that my hair is standing on end.

There's a link to 94MB 1000x540px trailer on Metafilter that's so chunky that it crashes my machine.

Meh. One of the advantages of the Matrix over the Star Wars films is that the attraction isn't to do with "go on, feel the quality of the CGI", so a superreal picture size isn't much of an attraction. 's the Cinema of Ideas, innit.

THE MATRIX IS A BIRTHDAY GIFT TO ME!

Ally (mlescaut), Friday, 11 April 2003 14:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Does it come out on your birthday?

Nicole (Nicole), Friday, 11 April 2003 14:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Keanu Reeves as a birthday gift to me would be a sign the world wants to mock me, but we've already established this many times.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 11 April 2003 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

It comes out close to my birthday, close enough that I believe that this is a special gift for me. The same thing with the first one! I saw the first one in a drive in, and about 8 million times since then. I seen the Matrix and Fight Club 8 trillion times = I am a heavy metal goth moron.

Has anyone watched any of the Animatrix shorts? I really like the first one.
