Four Day Weekends - Classic Or Dud

Pros: 4 days to lay about, reading comic books, listening to records, and occasionally getting piss drunk. (As opposed to the normal 2.)

Cons: Detachment from the work schedule makes the return that Tuesday even harder than usual. Evil thoughts begin to coagulate in your noggin about calling out. You wonder how long you could possibly get away with *not* working. Monday night = last room on death row.

So, I'm saying dud.

Jess, are you mad?

Possibly.

Well, we've got three day here, and I'm whiling away my Monday in sheer and utter relaxation, reading away and all. Sometime this afternoon I'm going to beat some FT articles into shape, though.

Hey, I'm unemployed, every day is the weekend.

Summer ends Wednesday. Alas! Goodbye, lovely three-month weekend. I will be grabbing at every day off I can get.

Of course they're great, if I didn't have a 3-day weekend I would have missed getting smelled randomly by creepy college stranger, and going to a candle store, hello. Except now I'm exhausted as hell and want to die and need lots of caffiene cos travelling back from holiday = dud.
