Has anyone watched this? My god, I watched it last night and wanted to put my foot through the tv. "Oh, Im sorry Tanya...you are not hot." What has American tv come too. This is horrendous. And what cocky conceded bastards would get on this thing.

I was flipping around the TV last night waiting for my friend to get ready so we could go out and came across this... Something about Lorenzo Lamas telling some dude what a great body he has and what a great personality that sez to me, yup it's all over.

There was a terrific spin on this on some cable TV channel over here a while ago. Contestants had to look at pictures of other people and say whether the audience would judge them more or less attractive than their partner, who was sitting next to them.

the show is marvelous. each unit of the program is a little missle fired against the hegemonic reliance on narrative. each contestant is brought forth and dismissed so quickly, the judges have little time to make a thoughtful decision, making the show the ulimate post-rational experience. the speed at which it is conducted also compels the show to revel in the surface, and exposes the nature of humanity: we judge, and usually quickly, the merits of other human beings, and this show works to reveal those processes.

actually, i hated the show when i saw it a couple of weeks ago.

the standards seem to be pretty darn high for the show, or rather i should say that the desired aesthetic is very narrow. during the episode i watched, there were no men with chest hair at all, so i, among many others, am already disqualified as i do have chest hair and i wont shave it off (hey ladies).

Man I am the king of chest hair. I have never once attempted to shave it off. My friend shaves his chest hair as well as his twig and berries, it must itch when it grows back.

the best parts of the show are the video clips of those who have been rejected by thejudges. the all say something like "i am hot, and i know it, and i dont care if i lost, because I KNOW I am hot"

why would anyone want to be on a show to be dissed by lorenzo lamas?
