An ad monkey friend is working on a pitch for a client who is interested in encouraging people to have beer with their food instead of wine (even though they are doing this as they are a brewer, I think this a laudable aim).

They were thinking that it would be a nice idea to run this as a campaign in a film magazine, and to do each month a recipe from a movie, with an accompanying tasty beer to accompany it.

My best was peroni with the meal Henry Hill doesn't get to eat in Goodfellas as he is arrested (or the boys in prison after garlic razor cooking etc). But then I realised that I am not an admonkey and so my brain ran out of creative juice. Anyone got any thorts?

Any drink at all will go with Barfly. Which when I first heard about the title, not being familiar with the word, I thought was pronounced 'barf-ly.'

Any late 50s early 60s British Kitchen Sink drama will feature a Roast Sunday Dinner so run a recipe for Yorkshire Pud alongside moody stills from Billy Liar - you just gotta eat that with a pint of bitter!
