i made my first major grammar fuck-up in my title two threads ago. shit. so, how much do you care if something fucks up like that? really i only care about mine if i'm taking the piss or correcting someone, because then i look like an ass. other instances bother me sometimes, but not much unless i can't tell what's being said. and anthony is always okay because he's anthony.

Get to bed Ethan you mentalist, it's like 6 AM where you are surely.

Answer: typos and fuck-ups on their own I don't care about. If someone is being incoherent or stupid in content though and then mistypes or mis-spells all the time then it makes it worse and I hate them even more.

i want to go to bed badly because i have an awful cold and i'm tired as fuck but i have to work 11pm-7am tomorrow and so i figure i have to stay up til seven at least so i don't fall asleep at work. anyway the groggy sleep deprivation combined with head thickly clouded by illness has at least made for a couple interesting threads.

Fairly so.

JM, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

ethan, it was a lonely weekend for you, huh, with all the world out celebrating summer's last stand?

fred solinger, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That's what I'm sayin', didn't you have anything else to do?

And yes, it's "imporatant" to say things correctly because otherwise you just give yourself a huge opening for others to fuck with you. Sure, everyone makes mistakes, but the fewer "easy" mistakes you make, the better to just avoid annoying pedants.

Ally, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey, I didn't do much yesterday either, so fuck all y'all. Mind you, that's probably because I was still recuperating from the get-together on Friday night. *hic*

nint all at - don't make one bit aof dieferenece to me.

Geoff, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh christ, I always end up making mistakes. I always believed I was proficient in English. Since I started posting on ILE, I realize I am CRAP. I nearly enrolled in a language course because of this.
Is it important? No, as long as you get the message across, I don't think it is that relevant. So I like to believe.

You express yourself well I think, Nathalie. No worries.

Bad grammar and spelling irritates me unreasonably, but it doesn't anger me.

Captain Swing aka King Penda, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

who said i didn't do anything this weekend? i just had to work on monday, big fucking deal. christ.

ethan, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Whatever, yo. Why don't you just admit you didn't have shit to do and be done with it? We forgive you, not everyone can go around acting like, you know, me or some shit. It's unhealthy.

Ally, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Bad grammer or spelling doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm thinking of becoming a teacher, there is a shortage you know.

jel, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

how does me being up late monday = me not doing anything last weekend? I DID NOT HAVE MONDAY OFF, i had to work and therefore did not experience this 'three day weekend' thing and so all weekened activites took place during the actual weekend which was not as great as ally's i'm sure, but fun enough.

ethan, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You're very defensive, some might say suspiciously so.

Ally, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

well i don't get it, i stay up late for work- related purposes on what is basically tuesday morning and suddenly everyone questions my weekend activities. like, lay off, you people.

ethan, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Why don't you just admit that your weekend was spent crying into your Guinness, watching Judd Nelson movies? We won't judge you, honest. I mean, mine was spent in a college dorm destroying artwork and watching some awful thing called Belly of an Architect, is that really that much better?

Ally, Tuesday, 4 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
