http://www.e-sheep.com/delta/ if webcomics with really nice digital art count.

"When I Am King," too, which I can't find the bookmark for.

Electronic literature:

Caitlin Fisher, These Waves of Girls
Geoff Ryman, 253
Poems That Go

Prude (Prude), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 05:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I remember a good one that revolved around a young French girl and her house and things she wrote and made. The details are very foggy. Anyone remember this? It had a pretty active and interesting message board at the time.

The best ever was the guy that translated Star Wars into ASCII.

I mean, I can't even comprehend how phenominal that is.

I don't think this really counts as "net art" (whatever that is), but it is my favorite collection of pop art that's on the net:

nick.K (nick.K), Tuesday, 18 March 2003 18:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah that Tindal site is great. Be sure to check out the square root of -1, its linked from the main page.
www.111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111.com (that's 60 1's btw) is also nice to look at though its slightly more disturbing/disorienting ;) It's not working right now, but I was there recently so it should be back up soon I'd imagine.

The Dutch artist Ellen Pronk as an extensive archive of her own net art that she works on every day.

But my real favourite is this one from Jochum Niemandsverdriet!

I realized I didn't follow protocol and post a link.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Wednesday, 19 March 2003 07:48 (twenty-two years ago)

one year passes...
I can't find my favorite work of net art right now, it was a weird news group for (I guess) semiotic experiments/poetry/theory/hypertext/philosophy sort of deals.

Anyway, I started a new forum called net art
http://www.ilxor.com/newanswers.php?board=92
everyone is welcomed to post their stuff, experiment, have fun etc.

RJG is your big half a small difference?

this was mentioned on slashdot recently http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/01/24/0315221:

http://tiles.ice.org/index_completed.php?

people collaborate by doing little tiles (152x96) in a known style or on a known theme and then these are all stitched together to form a bigger piece, like a quilting bee (which is an american thing, apparently. winona was in the film...)

here's one based on Salvador Dali:

fourteen years pass...

this rules

https://otherti.me/

it's just wrapping up, but it's been one new piece of web-based artwork per day for a month.

silly and fun: https://otherside.otherti.me/
silly and very addicting: https://wildlife.from.an.otherti.me

that last one is my favorite. it's really simple: you just draw one section of a 4-legged creature, and your drawing is entered into the randomly drawn mix of user contributions below it. you can draw the hind, middle, or front of it, or all three, and submit as many as you want (i've done 10-15 or so). the number of people doing it is small enough that you'll see one of your own creations in the mix pretty frequently (especially if you submit more than one)

here's a few that used one of my sections:

https://i.imgur.com/j7to7Ym.png

although that last one was probably improved upon in this combination:

https://i.imgur.com/9UoaPde.png

anyway, only takes a minute to contribute something, and will ruin your evening in a nice way.
