Yeah, my phone doesn't have that game but I borrowed Lucy's and had a go and I got a similarly great score (only luck in the initial guesses would have made it higher) that was about three times higher than Lucy's previous best effort. She was mad as hell. The thing is, I'm usually crap at pelmanism, Kim's game etc, but I used a mnemonic technique with those funny symbols that made it all easy. Basically I turned them into a story. A very odd story - those symbols are weird.

I have Reversi on my phone. Nick I remember knows how to play this. I don't. I also have Minesweeper on my phone but the one that occupies me most is the Siemens version of Connect 4 - QUATROPPOLI. So I don't have Snake. I don't care.

The world wouldn't be a better place because when you're on public transport you need something to look at to ensure you don't stare at one of the many psychos you encounter daily, like the guy looking at his phone and telling a story to himself based on mnemonics to get the high score on the memory game.

Bantumi is great. Also Space Impact. vital to turn sounds off before playing before you, and fellow passengers, go mad. Snake is easier if you put you thumb on the down arrow, so you can cover all four keys at once.

Snake - 530. Snake 2 - can't remember, but it was the top score on my friend's phone at the time (Honey are you reading this? Is it still?) I am always in the daily top 3 on Yook's colours game, but I'm trying to ween myself off because it is the crack of computer games.

The only fun memory game is Kim's Game. When I get home I will get out a tray and tea towel, plus an assortment of buttons, thimbles and acorns, test Nick's prowess and report back.

I managed to get 2189 on Snake 2 with the hopes of trying to win another phone of my choice only to find that the whole thing was a hoax! Now my buttons don't work and I wasted a bloody lifetime getting that score only to find that I wasn't going to win anything. What is the highest score possible on Snake 2 anyway?

One time I got in the zone playing Snake and got 1008. I usually fail to crack 500, so I don't think I'll ever beat that. Never heard of Snake2 before.

On a related note, my new leather jacket has a special inside velcro pocket that is apparently tailored specifically to hold Nokias. I just discovered it today after nearly a week of owning the jacket, so I'm very excited.
