Do you all have friends who hate each other?

For some reason a lot of my friends dislike each other (or just plain don't know each other because they come from different places and I highly suspect would just not get along anyway), often without great reason (OK, the 2 that were going out for a year and a half maybe have some point to the occasional irrational hatred) and its BAD because it means I cannot surround myself with them. So anyone else in this kind of situation?

Currently two of my friends hate each other because of some fight they had. The worst part is the way they keep trying to drag you into it, and then you tell them you don't give a shit and they think you're taking the side of the other person. It's a no win situation.

yes, this is an unfortunate truth. many of my friends really don't like each other. ie, "i don't know why you like that bitch" or "she's fucked" etc etc. thankfully they all like me, well, apart from the ones that don't anyway.

*sighs* All of my friends seem to have issues with my roommate, including friends who started out being friends with her these days. I'm so tired of hearing it.

They don't hate each other but I don't like a lot of them.

Oh lord. Within the past few months I have seen approximately five or six different friends and acquaintances move from vague toleration to outright loathing and/or contempt and/or mockery. Names changed to protect everybody -- how I still get on with them all is a miracle.

My friends all like each other, except for the ones who don't know each other.

I'm working on making all my friends hate each other. Just 'cause I'm bored & shit.

one month passes...
I have friends that hate each other. I don't really care they can just deal with it.

I have acquaintances that hate my friends and vica versa. In fact there was a lovely altercation between some recently when I was out trying to have a good time. i just wandered off and talked to other people since they were being boring.

Duane, you don't seem to be doing a very good job of your ambition. People don't need your help to hate each other

yep, i have friends who hate each other. a friend of mine said to me in the weekend "friendship without politics is boring. imagine if your friends weren't fighting, what would you talk about?"

di, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

you'd talk about other people

Menelaus Darcy, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah, acquaintances...people who are your friends' friends.

di, Saturday, 3 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

not necessrily. I talk about all sorts of people I don't even know. how far are we going to take this friends thing anyway. Most people are friends with someone or other so everyone can be classified as a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend etc, except maybe the doof explosion.

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

oh but you can't get really angry and ranty about people who are too far removed from you. so its not as much fun really.

di, Sunday, 4 November 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

yeah I can. its easy. Oh and people would get into arguments on their own account.
