Why does it all go wrong?

Hi,

Everyday when I log onto ILe, I think today I'll post an intellectual question or add a detailed and indepth response about a serious issue. But well...the rest is history...

Not that there's anything wrong with posting silly stuff, I even think my silly stuff is below par. This is turning into "give expression to your low self-esteem"...he he

So, I guess my question is...do you suffer from a mental block on the Internet? Do you find it hard to articulate your opinions?

Oh darn it. This post is probably a mistake.

I blame Ethan.

One reason why my blog was fallow for so ong was because I decided that I was a remarkably boring individual in blog form. It was so much more fun to write in direct response to someone else. After this mini-break, I'm more psyched about blogging than I've been since March.

Dan Perry, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

All blog and no ILE makes my bloggo a blah blog.

That said, the quick-response nature of this bitch probably makes me a lazy writer, in that I don't formulate many complex or complete thoughts. It's my own fault, though - I'm easily distracted by petty gossip, name-calling, and boobies.

I am a fantastic writer and endlessly fascinating. Did you read my Jay-Z review? My posts about my own ass? Hello, you can't pay for entertainment and cultural wonders that good - it's priceless.

Ally, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

*checks review* Yes it is astoundingly good and dammit Ally write for FT more. ;-) I fully agree with her on the cocaine and Avalanches thing, for a start.

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Avalanches in the ghetto, holla.

Ally, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Either I need ti really listen to that Avalanches album or, in one fell swoop, Ned and Ally have put me off of investingating the new Jay-Z.

Dan Perry, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Listen to both and draw the connections. Trust me. ;-)

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Dan, I require you to listen to the new Jay-Z. It's way better than the Avalanches, it just has that stupid ass lounge swirl going on a few tracks. SMOOTH GHETTO SHIT.

Ally, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The point being, Dan, is that we have both told you to GO FORTH AND LISTEN. And you know where to go, so smile!

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 6 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

If it's better than Avalanches I'll eat my hat. Or at least buy it. But I've never liked Jay Z and his flagrant pillaging of musicals along with his obsession with kids. All that and I find his voice dead annoying too.

Ronan, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"Oliver!" pillaging and little kids thankfully absent from new Jay-Z album (two of my least favorite things about Jay-Z also)

Ally, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I read your review actually. If you're as good a writer as you say you are surely you could make something crap sound great. I won't buy Jay-Z, my list of stuff I want is too long. I might try and get it for free somehow though.

Ronan, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, I could easily take the mic and just blow out of proportion something awful to see how many people follow my "advice". But what's in it for me? It's very easy to get the Jay-Z album online anyhow.

Ally, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Not with my computer.

Ronan, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

http://www.mp3shits.com has it all except track 13 - it's my MP3 shark site of choice because it always used to be very lenient with the pop-ups although lately a couple of annoying ones have showed up. And it gets you the files most of the time.

Tom, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And it's called MP3 Shits, which has got to be good.

Nick, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, Ronan, go to Chinatown, they got 8 billion bootlegs of it for $5 down there.

Ally, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Since I seem to keep coming up with problems as to why I can't get I'll keep it up, I live in Dublin so I can't go to Chinatown.

Ronan, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

$5 for Jay-Z album + $300 for plane ticket from Ireland to US = perhaps he should wait for the release date?

Dan Perry, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

300 Dollars? If it was my birthday and Christmas together maybe. Try 500 plus hotel and food and drink obviously.

Ronan, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I didn't say that the actual getting to Chinatown would be easy, you know.

Ally, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You implied it though implicitly. Come on just admit you didn't know how far Dublin was from Chinatown in New York and we'll forget the whole thing.

Ronan, Friday, 7 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sorry that was silly, how else but implicitly could you imply something.
