Biff

I've had a stack of photocopies that I think is the entirety of "The Essential Biff" for years. Hilarious.

A brief google reveals that the strip is still going on, weekly in the Guardian. (website here: http://www.biffonline.co.uk/) It seems to be less freewheeling and wierd as the old ones, but I don't think it has any repeating characters, which is pretty cool for a multipanel strip. Is this the British Doonesbury?

UK people, tell me of Biff.

Intermittently, it can be very funny.

Unfortunately, I only know of one Biff:

"Why don't you make like a tree, and get outta here?"

(have we even had a Doonesbury thread? God I loved that shit as a teenager, still do. I had a STACK of Doonesbury compendiums that I dug out of my older brother's closet [along with some early 80s Oui magz and a one-hitter wahey!] I think about 4/5ths of everthing I know about Watergate and Vietnam comes from there. [not Oui.])

Second Pashmina. Hit and miss, but the hits are fantastic.

I'm not terribly keen on Biff or Doonesbury, but I do keep reading them, and enjoy them occasionally
