To my knowledge, dressing up "all in lace" hasn't been "in style" since, oh, say, about 1898. Exception: Stevie Nicks cocaine-MaiTai-induced-proto-goth-Cher-like outfits of late '70s, but nobody but someone from the Eagles would have thought that was "in style."
