Any interest? Jen, you available? If not, let's at least try to meet up sometime before she leaves town!

Is that pronounced SCORE-siz (like horses), Score-CEZ, Score-SEES ... ?

nabisco (nabisco), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:58 (twenty-two years ago)

The last Radio Free show I went to was led off by a girl doing interpretive dance in a tutu with no panties for 45 minutes while her partner played along on guitar and sax. Maybe the longest 45 minutes of my life. Ian Williams was there though. He was too cool to be bored.

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

SCORE-siz (like horses)

Way to contribute positively to the thread, Yanc3y!

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Wednesday? Jen, let's have a party on the weekend, blimey.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:08 (twenty-two years ago)

In an attempt to make my post more on topic, maybe a throwdown for Jen would be best: a) not in the middle of the week and b) not at a concert?

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:10 (twenty-two years ago)

ah well it was just an idea that came to me because Jen has this Charalambides record I want, that's all.

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, way to be productive to everyone else on ILX, hstencil.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

wtf? I didn't see YOU even mentioning the idea before I posted this thread, Ally my pally.

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, well, I was going to post up a FAP request actually, for non-self-serving reasons. You can still go to the show if you want, no one is stopping you and probably some people might go with you.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:16 (twenty-two years ago)

if you can move it to friday and about 800 miles west i'm down with it.

otto midnight, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Ally are you implying that I posted that for "self-serving reasons?" If so, FUCK YOU.

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:24 (twenty-two years ago)

ah well it was just an idea that came to me because Jen has this Charalambides record I want

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Wait a sec, I take that back, it's way too harsh, but still if you think I posted that for any reason beside wanting to have people get together and wish farewell to Jen, then you're seriously wrong and I'm totally offended.

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:26 (twenty-two years ago)

The crack about the Charalambides record WAS A TOTAL JOKE! Okay, so maybe it was an in-joke for Jen, but it was still a joke! She'll never give me the record even if I asked for it, and there's no way I'd ever ask for it, plus it's already in Seattle! What the fuck?!?

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

dude, I seriously hope yr taking the piss right now, because if you are, I'm hysterically laughing, well done. Even if you aren't, well done!

I mean, honestly, can you reread the thread and see what you said to Yancey and NOT see that I was taking the piss on yr kind of rude reply to him? Yr a fucking asshat if you aren't taking the piss, but I sincerely think you are.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:29 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not your first response that pisses me off, Ally, it's the second. If I'm a "fucking asshat," so be it, but at least I don't go around questioning the motives for anything you post.

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:32 (twenty-two years ago)

"asshat" is my new favorite word. that's all i have to contribute to this thread.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Fuck this music shit, let's just all get some $2 drinks at the Lucky Seven again.

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:45 (twenty-two years ago)

ROSEMARY IS THE WINNER DING DING DING. Can we go on Friday or Saturday?

hstencil you jackass reread what you wrote to Yancey. You = mentalist, I even gave you the "oh you caught me, I'm takin' the piss, I knew you were joshin' me back for my comment" out! Dear god man take the out!

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I think their happy hour is only on school nights. Oh, and who wants to go to the schooldisco-esque night on Saturday? Can anyone lend me a tie?

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:53 (twenty-two years ago)

ah see well I was jokin' with Yanc3y. Since you've made a point of baiting me on other threads, I took what you wrote seriously (well, at least somewhat) and personally. Regardless, it's pretty poor taste on your part to take a thread that was supposed to be about doing something nice for Jen and use it as a way to bait me, but hey I guess it's a free country.

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 17:53 (twenty-two years ago)

This thread has been locked by the administrator.

hahaha no, of course not (nabisco), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:03 (twenty-two years ago)

woulda been better had I not posted it at all.

hstencil, Monday, 7 April 2003 18:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Jen, where and when do you want to go?

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:16 (twenty-two years ago)

can't--going to Seattle that night. carry on, kids

M Matos (M Matos), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:21 (twenty-two years ago)

It's just easier to be at a party outside of Manhattan on a Friday or Saturday for me. It really doesn't matter. Jen, when are you leaving?

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:22 (twenty-two years ago)

hstencil, ease back a bit, okay?

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:32 (twenty-two years ago)

EVERYBODY JUST CHILL THE FUCK OUT! -

James Blount (James Blount), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:55 (twenty-two years ago)

martin (mushrush), Monday, 7 April 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey, I know you don't really know me since I have done more lurking than posting for a while now, but I wanted to let you know...

While y'all were at this, Jen and I made plans, if anyone wants to stop by on Friday the 11th.

Xth Ave Lounge over in Hell's Kitchen. 10ish or so.

martin (mushrush), Monday, 7 April 2003 19:13 (twenty-two years ago)

FAPping sentiment appreciated, regardless of the direction of this thread.

So yeah, feel free to stop by Xth Ave Lounge on Friday night and join me, Martin and some other people you don't know (yet). However, it looks like I'll be around until mid-to-late next week (depending on the whims of the movers), so that weekday drink special thingie sounds mighty appealing as well.

Jen (nstop), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 00:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Any one else going tonight?

rosemary (rosemary), Friday, 11 April 2003 19:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I've been out of work with a bad cold the past two days, otherwise I would be there... Have fun, folx!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Friday, 11 April 2003 20:42 (twenty-two years ago)

Jen, if yr around still next week, maybe we could get together next week? I can't come tonight, I have a massive essay due tomorrow. But if yr around and maybe not busy Tuesday night, anyone good for that?
