How much does this suck?

Mary (Mary), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:53 (twenty-two years ago)

tell me about it.

slutsky (slutsky), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:57 (twenty-two years ago)

lawrence kansas (lawrence kansas), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:58 (twenty-two years ago)

uh huh

oops (Oops), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:58 (twenty-two years ago)

All I have to add is that I made a good joke at a dinner party last night about the snow. Everyone was gabbing about the weather forecast and someone asked how much it was supposed to snow. "Six inches," I said loudly. "Also, it's supposed to snow tomorrow," I said even louder. I crack myself up!

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 7 April 2003 16:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Sometimes It Snows In April.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:00 (twenty-two years ago)

It's just horrible. There's already about 5 inches of snow on the ground from this morning. If it hadn't been so sunny and beautiful about a week or so ago, I wouldn't feel so crushed.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Just wait till you get snow in May, then you can cry.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:02 (twenty-two years ago)

get over it, y'all. this is a fact of life where I live

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:04 (twenty-two years ago)

So much for my ride-the-bike-to-work week.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh wait...HA HA!!!...it's not snowing here!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:06 (twenty-two years ago)

why is anyone so proud of six inches?

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:07 (twenty-two years ago)

why is anyone so proud of six inches?

I would ask this same question, but with naughty connotations.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:10 (twenty-two years ago)

*cries*

Yanc3y (ystrickler), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:10 (twenty-two years ago)

six flaccid inches? that's pride-worthy

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:10 (twenty-two years ago)

How can snow be flaccid? ;-)

nickalicious (nickalicious), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't recall the words "flaccid" entering into the conversation. We were talking about snow, fool.

Ally (mlescaut), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:12 (twenty-two years ago)

have you ever tried to ski on erect snow?

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:13 (twenty-two years ago)

Not snowing where I am either, but it's cold and rainy and it's supposed to be like this all week long.

Sarah McLUsky (coco), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:14 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't mind at all. No one's around and everything's miraculously quiet and serene.

Jody Beth Rosen (Jody Beth Rosen), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:15 (twenty-two years ago)

ugh

Chris V. (Chris V), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

actually, last thursday, when my town got hit hard, I was walking around at night and there was nobody out but me and it was one of the few times I thought Regina was pretty.
Of course, it was dark and I was drunk.

Horace Mann (Horace Mann), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:19 (twenty-two years ago)

The snow wouldn't be half as irritating if A) we didn't get slammed with a butt-load of it this winter B) it wasn't SPRING.

Jeanne Fury (Jeanne Fury), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

It finally stopped here in Michigan. Snow + having to wake up an hour earlier due to daylight savings time = DUD DUD DUD!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish it were snowing in DC. Maybe it's a little bit of a pain in the ass, but if you don't like snow you've become Too Old.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't have a problem with snow per se, but springtime snow is just for the masochist mentalists.

Nicole (Nicole), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I thought we got an extra hour of sleep(?)

Mary (Mary), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:50 (twenty-two years ago)

That's in October.

rosemary (rosemary), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:54 (twenty-two years ago)

lucky! Wow! I love snow!

jel -- (jel), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:57 (twenty-two years ago)

When I was a wee lad and was first told about daylight savings, I thought it meant that we lost an hour of sleep every night until October. This upset me immensely

mookieproof (mookieproof), Monday, 7 April 2003 17:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe it's a little bit of a pain in the ass, but if you don't like snow you've become Too Old.

Too Old, eat my fuck. I just got in from standing ankle deep in slush while waiting for the WALK light. Snow in New York that doesn't shut the motherfucker down is just a pain in the ass.

Benjamin (benjamin), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Apparently, there was snow in Greece today. I'm told that was very bizarre.

caitlin (caitlin), Monday, 7 April 2003 18:14 (twenty-two years ago)

It melted pretty quickly here. Go here to my "Winnipeg pics" for a fascinating, day by day view of the snow and the melt (scroll to the bottom of that batch). Well, it's boring as hell, but you know.

Bryan (Bryan), Monday, 7 April 2003 20:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I love snow. I hate the shoveling. Especially where there are laws that snow must be removevd with a certain number of hours from the sidewalk and walkway.

Carey (Carey), Monday, 7 April 2003 20:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Talk about "hell freezing over"! Global warming is screwing the earth over, big time.

From being born and raised in NY, you don't know what's a true pain in the arse until a 20 minute walk turns into an hour because you've been shuffling along ankle deep in the snow.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 7 April 2003 20:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm kinda jealous. We didn't get any snow at all this winter. (Oh, we got a few ice shower, but...)

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 7 April 2003 21:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Perverted snow = where is Dan?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Monday, 7 April 2003 22:11 (twenty-two years ago)

there is supposed to be another 10cms overnight. when will it be springtime? i want to show off my new jacket!

sand.y, Monday, 7 April 2003 22:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris, I've found you only miss the snow until it's blinding you....

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Monday, 7 April 2003 23:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Well I only want it to be around for a week. I want it to be, you know, regulated. A good week-long blizzard, one per year, and that's it.

It could be like a holiday. It would be great.

Chris P (Chris P), Monday, 7 April 2003 23:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I bought a really cool light-weight jacket this winter and couldn't wait until springtime to wear it. I was so excited about it that I often wore it under my heavy coat just so I could wear it inside. But I lost it! And now I'm so sad because the weather has been perfect for a little jacket. Woe is me!

(It was navy with little white piping, may it rest in peace)

Sarah McLusky (coco), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Snow in April = total bush league.

mark p (Mark P), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Heh heh "total bush"

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:43 (twenty-two years ago)

I wasn't a big fan of the snow yesterday, but when I got home and looked out my windows, it looked really great. Gosh I love my new apartment!

(Plus the Met Foods near my apartment rules because they have a framed photo of Chris Wallace near the cash register that says "We'll Always Love You, Big Poppa R.I.P. Notorious B.I.G.)

hstencil, Tuesday, 8 April 2003 13:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Plus the Met Foods near my apartment rules because they have a framed photo of Chris Wallace near the cash register that says "We'll Always Love You, Big Poppa R.I.P. Notorious B.I.G.

Per Nick Broomfield's documentary "Biggie and Tupac," isn't that the grocery where B.I.G. used to work?

Benjamin (benjamin), Tuesday, 8 April 2003 14:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Could be, I have no idea. I didn't see that doc.

I said it before and I'll say it again, just wait till you get snow in May, then you can cry.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Monday, 4 April 2005 12:57 (twenty years ago)

ugh sounds about right. i just spoke to my parents (in cle), who've had no power since early yesterday morning. they're taking the dog to a kennel and checking into a hotel.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 4 April 2005 13:01 (twenty years ago)

The storm on Saturday officially put us over the top for Snowiest Winter on Record OMGWTF.

They even cancelled the Geauga County Maple Syrup festival.

laurence kansas (lawrence kansas), Monday, 4 April 2005 13:45 (twenty years ago)

i don't even want to think about how snowy it must be in geauga county. not being able to get past your front porch most of the winter is a harsh price to pay to avoid minorities.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 4 April 2005 13:50 (twenty years ago)

I refuse to let snow ruin the spring for me. I wore sandals to the store yesterday. Fuck winter.

Thermo Thinwall (Thermo Thinwall), Monday, 4 April 2005 14:23 (twenty years ago)

it just snowed for 2 minutes here in london.

ken c (ken c), Friday, 8 April 2005 16:52 (twenty years ago)

I was expecting it to snow this April since it's been such a miserable winter, but the weather has been nearly summery so far.

Leon WK (Ex Leon), Friday, 8 April 2005 17:30 (twenty years ago)

I can't help it, this is a rare opportunity to say haha, it's going to be sunny and 10+C in Montreal for the next 5 days! And then, for my hubris, it will most definitely snow.

rrrobyn (rrrobyn), Friday, 8 April 2005 17:30 (twenty years ago)

We've just had a five-minute snow shower here.

caitlin (caitlin), Friday, 8 April 2005 17:33 (twenty years ago)

it snowed in june here, once. I was up in Vail, though.

titchyschneiderMk2, Sunday, 6 April 2008 11:25 (seventeen years ago)

all this half hearted snowfall is boring me. i want it to either now full-on or not at all. stop the teasing, weather-gods.

mr x, Sunday, 6 April 2008 11:33 (seventeen years ago)

*snow, not now

mr x, Sunday, 6 April 2008 11:33 (seventeen years ago)

Alexandra Palace is the single worst place in London to be during bad weather. What on earth were you doing up there?

Matt DC, Sunday, 6 April 2008 11:36 (seventeen years ago)

Was drinking in some rubbish Lloyd's bar last night about 1AM, and it started to snow outside, so the DJ dropped "All I Want For Christmas" by Mariah Carey. Me and my mates went out in it but there wasn't enough for a snowball fight. : (

Hohoho, man, once when I lived in southeastern Idaho it snowed on my birthday....June 12! That was a fluke. The best thing was: a man was trying to bicycle through all the lower 48 states, and he was in my town the day it snowed! HAHAHAHA fool.

Snow means that not only do we 'enjoy' Daily Mail headlines along the lines of "ALL BENEFITS CLAIMANTS ARE SCROUNGING MURDERING SCUM", but also possibly things like "GLOBAL WARMING?! PAH! IT'S NOT IN ANY WAY REAL BECAUSE OF THESE SLIGHTLY LESS THAN SEASONAL TEMPERATURES!"

Will you see a political publicity stunt? (snoball), Thursday, 4 April 2013 12:01 (twelve years ago)

We have now had a full year of the most fucked up weather ever: the wettest year on record (and nearly all of the rain came in April-December, before that we were supposed to be in a drought) followed by the coldest 'spring' for 50 years.
