This is the thread where we talk about the Stanley Cup playoffs!

And the Bruins inevitable loss in the first round to New Jersey. Ottawa wins this year. Ottawa and Detroit in the finals.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:37 (twenty-two years ago)

I still don't see Ottawa beating Toronto. It's going to be a strange playoff this year. Lots of upsets, I'm betting. I can see Tampa making the semis (and I'm only half cut). The Toronto/Philadelphia series will probably be the most entertaining 1st round series, followed by the Boston/Jersey series.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:46 (twenty-two years ago)

b-b-b-but Ottawa is "tough" now with Rob Ray. Like he is going to get much playing time....

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I am looking forward to Toronto/Philadelphia, that should be good. It would be entertaining if Anaheim upset Detroit, but I probably shouldn't expect that to happen.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

I wonder if "Uni-brow" Domi will cheap shot anyone this year. Or Darcy Fucker.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh the playoffs are beginning? This is when Aaron W. starts paying attention to hockey. GO WINGS!

Aaron W (Aaron W), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Rob Ray is funny. Remember the incident in Buffalo when a fan got on the ice and wanted to go to the Sabre's bench to congratulate them? Ray came up behind the guy, and we counted 32 punches to the guy's head before they pulled him off. NOW THAT'S HOCKEY!

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Hockey isn't hockey unless someone is getting pummeled. I wish Gary Bettman would get that by now.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:53 (twenty-two years ago)

They'll never take fighting out of the game. The day they do is the day they lose a lot of fans. Except the Russians.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 12:58 (twenty-two years ago)

NOODLES TO THREAD FOR FUCK SAKE.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Domi rarely cheap shots, hell he scores more often then he cheap shots, though this year thats not saying alot.

Leafs will roll over Ottawa this year, Domi shadows Ray and Gilmore beats the living fuck out of some prima donna to be choosen later from their team. I'd like to say Leafs win the cup but I have no clue about compitetion in the west.

Ottawa just don't have heart, like Jagr.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Pulling for an all Canadian Finals... what if...?

jm (jtm), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Domi rarely cheap shots? Hmmpf.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:35 (twenty-two years ago)

[I'm removing that pic as its the wrong thread, but if you wanna see it go look on the party thread so this one stayes imageless]
Muhahahaha

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Domi rarely cheap shots compared to Tucker, or more professional cheap shotters like Ulf, McSorely, Gordie Howe or < Don Cherry>the whole wack of the visor wearing European hacks < /Don Cherry>

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Tucker is the master.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:57 (twenty-two years ago)

What's worse: people who take dives or people who take cheap shots? To be honest the former bothers me even more than the latter, which is why I can't stand Fedorov.

Nicole (Nicole), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 13:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, he has his ugly moments, but Domi scored fifteen goals this year and generally works hard in the defensive end. I think he's much more than the one-dimensional goon that the haters want to characterize him as.

Tucker, on the other hand, is indefensible, and makes me ashamed to be a Leaf fan.

mark p (Mark P), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 14:09 (twenty-two years ago)

Domi has really improved his play over the years. The Bruins almost had him this past summer. Heck, we got Oliwa instead.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 14:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Every player on NJ has a plus/minus rating of +something. Ugh.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 14:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Tucker is the master.

Don't kid yourself, Ulf was the cheapest hockey player to ever play at the professional level, Gordie was second but he was a great player all round. Tucker just has to realize he's no King.

King and Domi, what a combo that was for the Rangers and Leafs.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 14:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Is there anything bad about Joe Thornton, other than that he should really be scoring more goals considering his contract?

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 14:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Not a damn thing wrong with Joe, I just hope the cheap ass Bruins keep paying him and he plays his entire career here.

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 14:55 (twenty-two years ago)

He makes me want to be a Bruins fan. I'll stop beating you off now, Chris.

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 14:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Sorry dude!

Bryan (Bryan), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 15:00 (twenty-two years ago)

BINGO

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 15:02 (twenty-two years ago)

20 minutes

Chris V. (Chris V), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 21:32 (twenty-two years ago)

LET'S GO PENS!

aw, fuck.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 22:53 (twenty-two years ago)

An all Canada final would be a miracle. Too many beasts in the West for the Oilers and Canuckleheads to get thru. The goddamn dread wings have looked impossible to beat in the last couple months. Best 1st round match ups: mah Blooz vs Vancouver and Flyers vs Leafs.

bnw (bnw), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 23:18 (twenty-two years ago)

I like seeing Nicole get pumped up for hockey, it's like there's this ravening beast just waiting to explode. Maybe.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 23:24 (twenty-two years ago)

the stanley cup goes through the west. although the west champion might be so beat up if dallas, detroit and colorado beat up on each other that the east could sneak away with the cup. i am still smarting over the leafs loss to carolina last year.

keith (keithmcl), Wednesday, 9 April 2003 23:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Toronto beats Phillie 5-3

And Ottawa, ouch, shut out by the lowly New York Islanders.
Not the most auspicious start for the Sens.

Bruce Urquhart (Bruce Urquhart), Thursday, 10 April 2003 01:27 (twenty-two years ago)

The Avs are peaking at just the right moment.

David Beckhouse (David Beckhouse), Thursday, 10 April 2003 02:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I hope so. I've got a lot of Colorado players in my work playoff pool.

Bruce Urquhart (Bruce Urquhart), Thursday, 10 April 2003 02:16 (twenty-two years ago)

The Wings are sliding a bit. 5-5 tie with Nashville. OT loss to Chicago. John Buccigrass picks an Anaheim upset. I don't see it, but we shall see...

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 10 April 2003 02:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Broooooons lose. What else is new. If the Devils are up by the start of the third period, forget it no chance in hell the B's are going anywhere. Also sucks that we have a tandem of third rate goalies starting for us. Shields isn't exactly Roy or Brodeur, nor is Timmy "Tip-toes" Thomas. This is going to suck. Hmmm, which bandwagon to get on. My minds made up... Ottawa.

Mogilny is a machine...I like Toronto's chances too, but they blow it every year. Pat Quinn will blow a gasket this year.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 10 April 2003 10:34 (twenty-two years ago)

We blew it last year I'll admitt.

Best part of the win last night was Tucker getting knocked out of the line up. Followed by Domi scoring.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 10 April 2003 13:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Losing Antropov is fucking HUGE.

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 10 April 2003 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, that sucked big hairy moose cock. This is where Gilmore would be very handy.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Thursday, 10 April 2003 13:50 (twenty-two years ago)

Anaheim - Detroit in overtime. Be still my beating heart.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Friday, 11 April 2003 00:42 (twenty-two years ago)

"good god, thats....thats Ulf Samuelssons music. Ulfie just ran out on the ice and hit Yzerman with a foreign object."

Chris V. (Chris V), Friday, 11 April 2003 00:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Ulf did time as a Wing!

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Friday, 11 April 2003 00:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Ducks! Ha! (I predict the wings roll over them in 4 straight now.)

bnw (bnw), Friday, 11 April 2003 02:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Gah!! 3 ot disaster!

Lots o' upsets to start off... 'Lanche going down too!

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Friday, 11 April 2003 02:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, this is fucking insane.

Wild v. Capitals final anyone?

jm (jtm), Friday, 11 April 2003 03:45 (twenty-two years ago)

The insinuation that Ottawa will make the finals is beyond absurd. The only way the lame-ass Senators will see the Stanley Cup finals is if they buy tickets. Skill alone doesn't win cups it also takes balls and Ottawa ain't got none. I hope they're looking forward to their annual whuppin' from the Leafs - that is if they can beat the Isles.

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Friday, 11 April 2003 03:55 (twenty-two years ago)

Blues are whipping Canuckleheads. Yay! Devils are the only higher seed to win a game.

bnw (bnw), Friday, 11 April 2003 04:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Geez the Dead Wings just went down 0-3.

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 04:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Cujo = shit.

Oh well it was fun while it lasted. Nice run by the Wings since '97.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 04:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Cujo should have stayed where he belonged. Maybe when Toronto wins the Cup, some of the guys will let him have his picture taken beside it or something - like a tourist at the hockey hall of fame.

GO LEAFS GO!!!

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 04:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Wings vs Leafs would be classic, though.

jim wentworth (wench), Saturday, 1 May 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

jim korn and korrado micalef could be the honorary captains.

uh oh, san jose might have just blown it. peter forsberg may take over.

kiprusoff, blech.

it's sad to watch steve yzerman now, i know he's scrappy but i remember when he terrified defensemen when i was in high school, now he gets pucks in the face.

keith m (keithmcl), Sunday, 2 May 2004 00:51 (twenty-one years ago)

man, i love seeing the wings get shut out.

bnw (bnw), Sunday, 2 May 2004 03:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Bam, Bam--digga digga damm!
Clear the track, 'cause here comes

Wendel.

Mr Noodles (Mr Noodles), Sunday, 2 May 2004 11:51 (twenty-one years ago)

No one's gonna spit on the Dead Wings's bloated corpse? What's with you hockey fans? This should be a day of rejoicing.

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 17:45 (twenty-one years ago)

If the circumstances weren't so crummy, maybe.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

yay yay yay

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

i know last nights game wasn't cujo's fault at all but i am still glad that once again the leafs lasted longer.
by just a bit.
go flames¡
(i'm also curious to see who's head gets chopped off in detroit over this one)
go flames¡

dyson (dyson), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 17:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Cujo really was unbelievable last night. That game was awesome, incredible action in the 3rd period and, surprisingly, for stretches of the overtime period. Just a war of attrition in that series really, and the Flames came out on top. Hatcher needs to go NOW. What a worthless slug that guy is.

Anyway, I'm rooting for the Flames and Leafs now.

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 18:04 (twenty-one years ago)

That Flyers-Leafs game Sunday was as thorough a shitkicking as I've seen in the playoffs in a while.

Yeah, I'm pleased to see the Wings go down, but I kinda feel bad for Cujo, who to my knowledge handled the whole Hasek thing very professionally. And damn I feel bad about Stevie Y.

xp: haha, Flames + Leafs = Gary Bettman's nightmare

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 18:09 (twenty-one years ago)

A Flames-Leafs finals would be great.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Agreed. I think the Flames will have a better shot at the Avs then the Sharkies (who can throw the underdog mentality + hot goalie right back at 'em.)

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:00 (twenty-one years ago)

indeed. leafs are toast tho (in game 7).

dyson (dyson), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:02 (twenty-one years ago)

What a sad way for the Wings to go. Several stupidly missed shots early in the game (Holmstrom) will be on players' consciences. Cujo deserves mucho cred; he outplayed Kiprusoff, which is a feat, but he can't make the offense work. I never paid too much attention to Hatcher before, heard the hype when he was added to the Wings roster, and I have to echo Broheems; he has been a big disappointment, and played like he kept forgetting what he was doing aside from throwing a decent hit here and there. Not enough to help out significantly.

also, dyson OTM I believe, Philly dominated last game and the leafs were scrambling. That's a hard beatdown to jump back from.

webcrack (music=crack), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

so: will the Avs become the third club in majorish North American sports to survive a 3-0 deficit in a seven-game series?????

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:37 (twenty-one years ago)

They're the last of the dreaded Colorado/Detroit/Dallas/NewJersey monster left standing.

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:39 (twenty-one years ago)

My money's on San Jose. I have a feeling the final series will be San Jose - Tampa Bay, actually. I like San Jose, but it just doesn't seem right.

webcrack (music=crack), Tuesday, 4 May 2004 19:43 (twenty-one years ago)

tampa bay is gonna stomp on the flyers. i think san jose may struggle more. the red wings need to unload all the geezers and start over. dandenault getting his faced stepped on was tough.

the fact that the dead wings didn't answer the flames when cujo was run at the end of game 4 said it all. at least the pistons outscored the red wings, but only barely.
keith primeau - what a spaz- i still remember when ken linseman knocked him over the boards, great moment. linseman weighed like 170 lbs and primeau was 230 lbs. dave lewis should go.

keith m (keithmcl), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 01:26 (twenty-one years ago)

the fact that the dead wings didn't answer the flames when cujo was run at the end of game 4 said it all.

They were probably too tired. Your observation about the increased age on the team is unfortunately too apt, they just seem to run down during the playoffs. Skill is important, but you can't play all skill and no speed/energy; the wings need a couple of young and fast offensive players. When 40 year old Yzerman (tho still playing great) is out and replaced by 42 year old Thomas, there's something of a problem.

webcrack (music=crack), Wednesday, 5 May 2004 03:04 (twenty-one years ago)

tampa bay is gonna stomp on the flyers

hmm, well. i think tampa should now be fully awakened from their week off, at least.

calgary's heart remains astonishing. but they're giving up too many shots, too many chances and i think it's going to ultimately cost them. kipper can't stop everything, can he?

so i just started playing (novice level) hockey for the summer and was assigned to--the red wings. which is okay, i guess. if i'd been assigned to the rangers i would have had to quit.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 11 May 2004 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Congratulations Calgary! Even though my team tanked a while ago, I'm really hoping that the Flames can scratch out 4 more wins and that the Cup can spend the next 12 months on the right side of the border for a change. It has been far too long. Go get 'em boys!

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Thursday, 20 May 2004 04:48 (twenty-one years ago)

i for one welcome our new Calgarian overlords

Sym (shmuel), Thursday, 20 May 2004 05:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, big congrats to Calgary. That was a fun series. I'd say they are the favorite against Philly; the Ning would be more of a crapshoot. Should be great hockey either way. Flame on!

Broheems (diamond), Thursday, 20 May 2004 05:13 (twenty-one years ago)

oh man i hate living in the UK. i want to watch the finals sooo bad. like j-rock, my team (leafs) are long gone, but now of course i'm all over calgary like white on rice, baby. GO FLAMES.

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Thursday, 20 May 2004 09:01 (twenty-one years ago)

flames vs bolts. Calgary will be the obvious people's choice. espn and abc probably ain't thrilled, but the league can now happily say small market teams have a chance. go flames go.

bnw (bnw), Sunday, 23 May 2004 01:32 (twenty-one years ago)

GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CANADIAN PRIDE VS. SHITTY AMERICAN EXPANSION FLORIDA SUNBELT BULLSHIT TEAM WHO CAN"T EVEN SELL OUT PLAYOFF GAMES (SHAME ON YOU BOLTS)

GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gilles Meloche (Gilles Meloche), Sunday, 23 May 2004 01:52 (twenty-one years ago)

That Iginla goal was one of the greatest goals I've ever seen.

Sym (shmuel), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 03:25 (twenty-one years ago)

i missed the game¡ i rented bubba ho-tep and totally forgot - fuck
damn
damn damn damn
i guess it was a good one - can't wait to see thursdays.

dyson (dyson), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 03:45 (twenty-one years ago)

they show games here in the UK but they are on too late and i'll miss a lot of them. DAMNDAMNDAMN. this will be the first time in many years that i have not seen the lord stanley's cup decided.

i was at a london FAP last night and had to explain what this "stanley cup" thing was. i felt like i was suddenly asked to describe what water is or something. like, how could you NOT know? and i simply cannot call it "ice hockey" over here. hockey on grass? BAH! that's 'field hockey' fer chrissakes

GO FLAMES

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 13:24 (twenty-one years ago)

predictions, people? i say flames in 6.

Rob Bolton (Rob Bolton), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 13:28 (twenty-one years ago)

That Iginla goal was one of the greatest goals I've ever seen.

How about Yelle's goal though!

mookieproof (mookieproof), Wednesday, 26 May 2004 13:28 (twenty-one years ago)

oh man, I wanna go to Calgary.

http://www.flamesgirls.com/

(NSFW)

Go Flames!!

Broheems (diamond), Monday, 31 May 2004 23:04 (twenty-one years ago)

The 5 on 3 and the 5 minute major were total BS.

Fraser is a piece of garbage, a disgrace.

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 01:48 (twenty-one years ago)

nah, that elbow from Niemannen was brutal--and dumb. so was the second penalty--well after the whistle--for the 5-on-3.

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 01:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd just like to point out that way up top of this thread I was tellin' y'all to watch out for Tampa. Hot damn.

(PS the boarding call was legit, wtf was it if not boarding? Jeez, 'sallright to play rough but take yer lumps when you get caught already)

J0hn Darn1elle (J0hn Darn1elle), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 01:57 (twenty-one years ago)

No, it was definitely dumb, and a penalty. but a 5 minute major? I'm not so sure about that...

and to be honest, I didn't see the penalties that resulted in the 5 on 3, because stupid ABC never showed the replay. (Or maybe they did, and I just missed it) But a 5 on 3 a couple minutes into a finals game? Man, that's brutal.

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 02:04 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd just like to point out that way up top of this thread I was tellin' y'all to watch out for Tampa. Hot damn.

True--but that was in last year's playoffs!

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 1 June 2004 03:56 (twenty-one years ago)

calagry wins it tonite.
in overtime. wining goal: gelinas.

dyson (dyson), Monday, 7 June 2004 17:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I sure f'n hope so. Pity they couldn't close it out Saturday, though. God their power play is awful, isn't it?

Broheems (diamond), Monday, 7 June 2004 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

i wasn't surprised by saturday's outcome (however the video replay of what looked to be a possible calgary ot winner did surprise a little). it's the way things have gone for calgary the whole playoffs.

dyson (dyson), Monday, 7 June 2004 17:45 (twenty-one years ago)

:_( goddamn you vinnie malkmus. The 'bulin wall was too much in the 3rd. bye bye hockey.

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 02:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Crap.

Oh well, congrats to Andreychuk. That's always nice to see. And Khabibulin's been a pretty great goalie for a while, so nice to see him rewarded. That 3rd period was awesome once Calgary scored their goal, great action. Calgary certainly had more than a few chances. but Bulin was up to the challenge.

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 02:18 (twenty-one years ago)

St. Louis' "We'll always walk together" line was pretty sweet. I don't think any other sport can touch the bond of a hockey team gone through the playoff wars.

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 02:21 (twenty-one years ago)

This is wrong man. It's just wrong. On the one hand, you've always gotta be happy for the players who won it. This is what they've been playing for since they were kids. On the other hand, winning the Stanley Cup probably couldn't mean less to the average resident of Tampa Bay. This would have meant more than life itself to the people of Calgary and it would have been a huge deal in the rest of Canada. The Stanley Cup in Florida?! Surely, that must be one of the signs of the appocalypse. AAAArrrrgggghhhh!!!

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah. when Andreychuk raised the cup, the volume level like, barely increased. That's a shame. People can hate on the Wings all they want, but the two times they won at home, it was DEAFENING. Complete pandemonium. Oh well. Here's hoping Bill Davidson can win another championship in a week or so here...

Broheems (diamond), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 02:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I've nearly given up on ever seeing the Cup in Toronto but I figured that it would make it back to Canada one day. I'd even settle for Detroit - it's close enough to the border, or Boston 'cause at least they've seen snow before.

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 02:48 (twenty-one years ago)

My sentiments exactly.

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 02:56 (twenty-one years ago)

what a handbag of shit -

looked so much like flames could makethe tie untill panelty
anyone who's seen my fantasy baseball teams knoes my record with the predictions.

drinking this much is much funner when you win.
i did n ot have the drive so i got the smash

dyson (dyson), Tuesday, 8 June 2004 04:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Disappointment has started to fade a little. Calgary deserves to be congratulated for a good season and an incredible Cup run. The whole country hasn't been behind one team since the Olympics. It doesn't change the fact that THE STANLEY CUP DOES NOT BELONG IN FLORIDA, but we're just going to have to learn to deal with that. I can't imagine how they must be feeling in Alberta right now. *sigh*
