no thread about this already ?

thoughts :
why are we seeing scene after scene again and again ?
and not in a good memento-type way.
why is there not one sympathetic character ?
how did joanne w get burned all over ?
do we think the people at renault knew they were
sponsoring an*l rape and the like ?
hasn't that lady from 'shallow grave' aged ?

Happy Birthday!

I couldn't be arsed to watch it, just becuase it begged for my attention so blatantly. Is it the hussy of a programme it appears to be?

I only saw the first episode; dunno if I'll watch tonight's. The best thing about it was the theme music.

It was directed by a David Moore - I assume not the ILXor of the same name. You never know, though.

I think it's quite interesting, and the multiple scenes are to do with following different characters through their threads at different times. It's not quite like Boomtown in that, but something vaguely similar is intended, I think.

I watched this against my better judgement, and thought it was OK, nothing more, nothing less. It smacked of trying too hard to be "edgy" and "different" and "cutting edge" and all the other things Channel 4 think they are, and although more interesting than a lot of current British output, it could have been a whole lot better. I think the director / writer had seen Memento and thought "that's a good device for disguising the fact we haven't got a real storyline". Which didn't quite cut it with me.

The theme music was ace though - sounded a bit like Razzmatazz by Pulp.

I wanted to watch it, but I fell asleep half way through the first episode and coudn't be bothered to watch it the next night.

Did I miss anything good?

Eddie Izzard's naked arse.

Not necessarily good though....

I saw Eddie Izzard's naked front bits at the start of the first programme. I wasn't staring or anything, but I'm not entirely sure he actually had a penis.
