who's planning to see 'better luck tomorrow' this weekend?

I know someone out here who is a friend of the director, went with him to NYC for the premiere there. I'm very interested in hearing how it went!

Weird Ned, I met the writer/producer at a bar Wednesday, his name's Ernesto. Very nice, funny guy. The mutual friend tells me today that it's "not about much" but he thought it would go over great in Asia - lots of voice-over, visual flourishes, heavy portent.

i saw this movie last night, and it was really great. really slick, but it also left me thinking about the movie for a while afterwards. i don't think it's "not about much" at all, or the viewer's probably missing the point of it all. hopefully this won't just be perceived as an "asian" movie either, because it's really nothing if not about being american. anyway, it was a lot of fun, with some real good jokes, so i recommend it.
