Search and destroy dance movies. Inspired by "Let's hear it from the boy" playing on cyber-radio at the moment.

Dances With Wolves was okay, I guess. Flashdance didn't contain nearly enough flashing for my liking. By the way, yr. email address is bouncing messages at the moment, I didn't know how else to tell you.

DESTROY DIRTY DANCING!

Duh, both Breakin' movies. Astoundingly enjoyably bad.

You know what's funny, though, Ned? I was just remembering the whole fun-urban-community versus snobby-rich-people theme of Breakin' 2, and it's weird to think that hip-hop has now managed to combine disdain toward the upper class with aspiration toward vulgar wealth, the latter of which was completely absent in Breakin. That movie attempted to portray the "breakin" community as this working-class collective whose goal who were more interested in the pleasures of dance and music than material wealth, which seemed to completely miss the ethos of the culture it was trying to exploit. But then how weird is the current, more honest representation (as exemplified by the last Puffy video), where it's sort of like, "You're rich and snooty and lame and uptight, but we are richer plus we know how to have fun." Not slobs vs. snobs but ... some sort of pimps vs. WASPS seems to be the idea ...

Y'all got a point there, Nitsuh. Thus is the end result of upward mobility. ;-)

Dirty Dancing = CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC. Plus a major bonding experience for all girls who LUSTED after patrick swayze in those pornographically tight trousers.

Also fantastic to get very drunk with friends, listen to soundtrack album, and realise all the hidden depths in this masterpiece you never saw as a youngster. I didn't realise the girl (well, fairly ancient woman really) was supposed to have had an abortion until about a year ago. That more to do with my stupidity than hidden depths though i suppose.
