has anyone else seen it yet? i'd been really looking forward to it, mostly because a friend whose opinions i tend to trust saw it last year and really rated it, but was pretty disappointed. i don't want to say too much yet cos i doubt many people have got round to watching it, but the lack of internal consistency was probably the biggest letdown.

I was really let down. It had some great reviews and I have no idea why. It was quite literally David Mamet-meets-David Lynch, but much less than the sum of it's parts. It was shallow, obtuse, and hideously disjointed. I didn't understand any of the characters' relationships to each other, and I thought the premise was ridiculous. And that's my two cents.

Not seen it yet, but most of the reviews I read were pretty much on this tip. I think the premise is great, but easy to do something bad and stupidly self indulgent with.
