Aaaah, that's better.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 08:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I am seriously tired as it happens. Had a stupidly long day on Saturday with wedding and family frolicks, which I'm still paying for after my film-buff flatmate forced me to watch 'The Right Stuff' till the small hours of Sunday. Yesterday was a daze - today ain't gonna be much better.

Hey, stop that, people are trying to meditate in here!

Momus (Momus), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 11:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Meditating?

Where I come from, that's called SNORING!!!

kate, Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Could you guys keep it down please?

Aaron W (Aaron W), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I overslept this morning because I was so tired. I can't even remember the last time I did that - I usually wake up easily and am full of the joys of spring. I've had several cups of tea in the hope that the caffeine would kick-start me, but to be honest it's making me feel worse I think.

I so want to go back to bed :(

C J (C J), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I still haven't caught up with sleep since ATP LAST weekend. Finally I have to accept that I am getting old.

Nathan Webb (Nathan Webb), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

*snorts, sit's up, rubs eyes and looks round* whathefuck? where did you all come from? *places head back on the pillows and falls back into slumber*

Alex K (Alex K), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 13:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Sssshhhh, there are people here trying to sleep you know!

smee (smee), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

i fear the lunchtime pint (with (and paid for by) boss) may cause me to slumber shortly, especially given the relative warmth of our office and the non-excitingness of this afternoon tasks...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Mmmm, I was just gonna to say I had a bit of a boozy lunch. *snore*

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 14:02 (twenty-two years ago)

In light of current ILX stress - revive!

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Tuesday, 29 April 2003 10:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes, I feel the need for this right now. Wake me when it's all over.

kate, Tuesday, 29 April 2003 10:56 (twenty-two years ago)

five years pass...

I am at work, but I want to take a nap.

UEK - Big Tempin' (Oilyrags), Thursday, 20 November 2008 21:45 (seventeen years ago)

Unplug your phone and use the handset to hold your head up (elbow on desk near cube wall, so head can be supported there too). I once had a colleague who did this for at least an hour, every afternoon.

Jaq, Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:14 (seventeen years ago)

I've been pulling allnighters - making myself sick - so that I can get my thesis done in time. So that I can excerpt it and send it in as my writing sample in on time so that I can get into graduate school. So that I can begin the process of figuring out whether I can get funded for graduate school, otherwise I don't know how I'm going to pay for it. Which reminds me that rent is due and I'm late and I'm poor and don't know what to do.

I could really, really, really use a nap :(

40 bucks for thirty minutes!

forksclovetofu, Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:31 (seventeen years ago)

Good idea, Jaq. But I don't have a phone at this tempcube.

UEK - Big Tempin' (Oilyrags), Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:33 (seventeen years ago)

Can you crawl under the desk, like you need to plug something in? Though - urgh - office floors, yick.

Jaq, Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:44 (seventeen years ago)

Isn't that a Seinfeld episode?

Mordy, Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:46 (seventeen years ago)

I was thinking there was someone here who posted about her boss taking naps under her desk while she was gone. But I may be misremembering.

Jaq, Thursday, 20 November 2008 22:48 (seventeen years ago)

Just this morning I was reading about Korean jjimjilbang bathhouses, where they have rooms with heated floors you can lie about and snooze on.

I wish they had that here!
