i am changing dentists, due to current one being out of way, and i dont like the new one in there.

i should go for a check up soon, so, recommend me a good one...

extra points for being in putney/barnes/chiswick, because on way into work, but suggest anywhere

I already told you one, and gave you the number, on foley street.

Ed (dali), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 11:08 (twenty-two years ago)

i am going tomorrow, i am nervous:(

i found one in chiswick, it is £24 for a check up

so, to calm my nerves, tell me about your dental experiences, where parkinsons disease suffering dodderers hacked at your mouth with a rusty hook. i am afraid of dentists, i am not looking forward to this at all:(

This disco dentist had me in and out with 6 fillings in two visits with an agregate time of about 15 minutes. Not painless, and I couldn't speak properly at work for a few hours but about as painless as it gets.

Gareth, I need a new dentist too, and Putney/Barnes is ideal - do you want me to hold your hand?

Mark C (Mark C), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 15:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I know a good dentist in Glasgow?

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 15:57 (twenty-two years ago)

tell, tracer, I have been thinking of finding a new one in town.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 15:58 (twenty-two years ago)

I'll email you about him tonight, girlanders!

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 16:06 (twenty-two years ago)

now I can't believe I was never called that once during my school career.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 15 April 2003 16:13 (twenty-two years ago)

thanks, btw.

the one in chiswick is very good mark c, although it is expensive, as are most dentists i guess. there was no pain, except in the wallet!

two years pass...
hello...i need to find a dentist. i've got some insurance for it through one of my jobs, so cost isn't the most important concern. key are painlessness and being at least slightly modern (have heard about amazing dentists with fancy computer xrays and things, but never have found one)

any suggestions? bonus points for central/islington area.

there's this N7 dental care just on holloway road round the corner of my house.. it's like brand new, but no idea whether it's good.

but i like the fact that it is round the corner from my house

I went to the dentist once for a filling, when I got there he said “ oh it’s only a small one so I won’t numb it”. Fucking sadist, the pain was so bad; I was nearly sick and if that wasn’t enough he charged me £40 for it.

Twat.

ok, not going to not-goodwin's, then!

not sure about going to a place without any personal referral...there's at least one fancy-looking place on upper st, but you never know where there's one of those terrible sadists hiding behind the mask...

colette (a2lette), Thursday, 1 September 2005 14:31 (twenty years ago)

colette (a2lette), Friday, 2 September 2005 09:58 (twenty years ago)

I got an NHS dentist recently, on Alexandra Park Rd, cost me £6 (!) for a filling (my first and only :( ). Still taking NHS patients I think.

Colette, you need the number for the Disco Dentist in Foley Street (recommended to me by another American, fixed my chipped tooth brilliantly, old gay raver). Ed has it in his phone so text him for it.

suzy (suzy), Friday, 2 September 2005 15:52 (twenty years ago)
