Has the internet changed your tastes?

For me, the answer has to be an unequivocal yes. Especially musically. How about you?

I don't think it so much changed my tastes as it has provided more access to let my tastes wander around freely. ;-)

Yes, it has changed my tastes slightly, yes it has opened me up to all manner of new and exciting things, yes it is a very good invention, don't you think?

I don't think it has changed my taste in anything, but it has allowed me to expand my knowledge on things I like, especially music thanks to FT/ILM. My post-ILM record collection looks so much better than my pre-ILM one (I can compare and contrast cos they're stored differently, as I are running out of room fast).

It has pushed me in another direction faster. I am sure, I would eventually find the road but internet taught me I could skip a few steps. For example if it wasn't for internet I would still be ignorant about Noise. I hear the neighbours shouiting "Death to Intah-net!"

Well, I have had this overwhelming desire to purchase the new Jay Z record the past couple of days, but other than that, no. Just more information about stuff I was already interested in, more access to it. What Ned said, basical

expanded, not sure about changed...i still hate courtney.

Well in the most basic sense yes it has, if only because it's brought me much closer to people who have influenced my tastes who I would never have encountered otherwise.

Robin Carmody, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Definitely.. well, not only expanded my musical tastes, but made me into an incredible music snob. Before the days of the internet I used to freak out if I discovered a fellow schoolmate liking Depeche Mode or The Smiths; Now I am simply snotty and I wave my green scarf around and talk about Unrest 7". Because, that's just the way it goes. Ooh and I just discovered this bulletin board and I quite like it.

Mandee- I get the feeling that you're gonna be waving that green scarf *a lot* around here.

I blame the Madchen.

And my answer is not too far from Robin C's, actually. Though my taste changes very little: it just solidifies.
