to increase their freedom, doin'da dunk even more, avoiding da weel etc libertine philosophers were coming-up with cultural references to dismantle their entourage's ethnocentrism ("the idea that one culture is superior to another and the idea that one culture has the right to impose the tenants of one's own culture onto another culture.")
here are 2 examples taken from contemporary anthropology (unfortunately i don't remember the name of the tribes for now...they were from oceania i think. maybe someone knows?)
