This was originally a halloween costume, but it found its way into my regular rotation

i recently purchased a new kids on the block bomber jacket (black with fluorescent pink + green patches on the shoulders and elbows) and a pair of gigantic gold plastic dollar sign earrings to wear to an early 90s party. now i jsut want to wear them all the time. have any of your costumes made this transition?

minna (minna), Thursday, 17 April 2003 00:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Somehow all of the costumes here appeared again at later (non-costume) events:

I don't understand, Ally. Those look to me like normal clothes you are wearing, especially the red bra. That is nice.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:16 (twenty-two years ago)

thanks for pointing out the bra!

James Blount (James Blount), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Like you didn't notice!

rosemary (rosemary), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Are you guys purposely ignoring the fact that the other two people in the picture are dressed like the Marquis de Sade and Captain Morgan, or did I miss a layout in this month's Vogue?

I was particularly proud of matching my bra to my skirt.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:25 (twenty-two years ago)

who knew they even still have NKOTB anything? Now I know what I want to wear this Halloween.

Captain Morgan scares me just a little...

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I think they all look hottt and that's what scares me.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, I thought they were just fops. I mean, fops from a different century.

felicity (felicity), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I still had my NKOTB pin. I had this giant pin. It was so aces. I lost it though.

felicity, I think that's the storyline to Black Knight, actually.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 02:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 17 April 2003 04:27 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you. Now I will only need shock treatment.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 17 April 2003 04:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know if that makes it worse or better

luna (luna.c), Thursday, 17 April 2003 04:33 (twenty-two years ago)

HAHAHAHAHA

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Its cool, I lay on the couch and eat pickles, my wife sits on the floor with a chain around her neck, half naked.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I was you.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 16:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Dodgiest post of the day!

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

well you said you wanted to lay on my couch and eat pickles with my half naked wife.

Chris V. (Chris V), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:39 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, that's not near as dodgy as the guy who thinks you and Alex should take up S&M.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Thursday, 17 April 2003 17:42 (twenty-two years ago)

seven months pass...
I think a good idea from now on will be to wear costumes on a daily basis. I am all for anything that makes me appear more unstable to my coworkers. I like to wear my bomber hat from Halloween this past year but the problem is I don't really have much brown clothes to match it.

Allyzay, Friday, 5 December 2003 19:09 (twenty-two years ago)

If it didn't match the rest of your clothes, wouldn't that make you appear to be more unstable?

El Diablo Robotico (Nicole), Friday, 5 December 2003 19:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Surely the most unstable thing at all would be to announce very loudly every five minutes that you'd love to wear your bomber hat but it doesn't go with anything in your wardrobe? And then pee on the floor a little?

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 5 December 2003 19:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Depends on the context, Dan

TOMBOT, Friday, 5 December 2003 19:15 (twenty-two years ago)

I want to look crazy, not unfashionable!!

Allyzay, Friday, 5 December 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I need to know which professional contexts would view peeing on the office floor as perfectly rational behavior so that I can avoid them wil all my heart and soul.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 5 December 2003 19:16 (twenty-two years ago)

My flesh is a halloween costume.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 December 2003 19:17 (twenty-two years ago)

DAN DIDN'T YOU READ MY THREAD ABOUT MY WORKPLACE??

Allyzay, Friday, 5 December 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Dan, you should also avoid

1. The art world
2. Lower echelons of the civil service
3. Organized crime

TOMBOT, Friday, 5 December 2003 19:19 (twenty-two years ago)

i like how chrisv stays true to character.
so, the real question is, do you go into character while wearing the costume? sucking snot out of noses? talking pirate talk? chanting the lines to "every little step"?

kephm, Friday, 5 December 2003 19:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I tried to stay in character in my ninja get-up this year, but it was too hard, I wanted to talk to people and drink beers too much.

Cprek is the master of staying in costume character, it's ridiculous.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 5 December 2003 19:39 (twenty-two years ago)

I am trying to make delivery, while you yell wearing pajama hat. You are bad for my business.

Boris the Mule (cprek), Friday, 5 December 2003 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)
