I think Nicole imagines me as Keanu because I say "Dude" with some frequency in my posts, but this is to be heard ironically when you read it. When I preface something by saying "Dude," you are to realize that whatever comes after is intentionally stupid.

Do all Nicks look alike? Do we all look like Brian Eno? My middle name is Aaron, so you could imagine me as a composite of Aaron W. and Brian Eno.

I can never do this. I have occasionally been surprised at how someone looked, but even then I couldn't pin down what I'd expected. The only timre I knew why I was surprised was when I met two guys whose names I'd known through comics fanzines. They'd seemed really similar, and I was surprised they looked utterly different, though neither surprised me individually. I don't understand how people can imagine people without information or evidence, really.

I find that I unconsciously form a mental image of someone even if I only have a name to go on. It's impossible to not form some type of conception.
