According to this parallel universes could very well exist, and one probably exists about 10¹⁰²⁸ meters from here. Of course this study assumes that the universe is infinite, and I'm not sure if that's the generally agreed-upon hypothesis. Thoughts?

Parallel universe Ally is apparently Jody Beth Rosen, according to her post on the crush thread.

We should have a sitcom in which our worlds collide and our parallel-yet-antithetical selves enter into an Odd Couple-like living arrangement. A typical episode would find the vivacious Ally "entertaining" guests on the couch, when suddenly the evening's fun is once again curtailed by the surly, unsympathetic Jody, who smashes an empty wine bottle over Ally's head and skulks away wordlessly. Naturally, this gag would be repeated week after week.
