Very strong possibility I might be flying down to attend a wedding that weekend in San Diego. (A rock n' roll wedding at that!).

So, I thought I'd sniff out all the ILX lurkers in San Diego to see if they wuzza up for a meetin'. (Don't know any regulars from SD on this forum..)

! But whose rock and roll wedding, or is that a Dread Secret?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 20 April 2003 02:33 (twenty-two years ago)

This is strictly a NO DREAD WEDDING! I mean, respect to Ire and all, but...

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 20 April 2003 02:34 (twenty-two years ago)

HAHA, um.. "Irie"

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 20 April 2003 02:34 (twenty-two years ago)

(needless to say, Ned, your first guess would probably be correct)

donut bitch (donut), Sunday, 20 April 2003 02:35 (twenty-two years ago)

HMMM...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 20 April 2003 02:36 (twenty-two years ago)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 20 April 2003 02:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Woah, Big Daddy. Be gentle.

Don't know any either... but if they exist then they are probably hanging out at OFF THE RECORD which is in Balboa Park... I think.

Chris Barrus (Chris Barrus), Sunday, 20 April 2003 03:19 (twenty-two years ago)

though only free on Saturday, mainly

That is to say, I'm available on Friday and Sunday, but I charge my regular hourly rate.

*the sound of Ned or Dan grousegriping over having their joke trumped*

Man, that does sound pretty brilliant. Hmm...

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 8 May 2003 16:23 (twenty-two years ago)

hey i'll be there.

vahid (vahid), Friday, 9 May 2003 01:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey, isn't that the same night as Billy Graham at Qualcomm Stadium? (How could I forget after only seeing a gafuckingzillion of those billboards and posters everywhere). Decisions decisions.

donut bitch (donut), Friday, 9 May 2003 03:18 (twenty-two years ago)

it's not "qualcomm"... it's the Qwurph.

gygax! (gygax!), Friday, 9 May 2003 05:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I might check out that Rapture show too.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 9 May 2003 07:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Apologies - how cheap is it to fly up and down the west coast? Is it something people do a lot, or do you have to be a player like gygax! or donut?

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 9 May 2003 09:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Thread hijack.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 9 May 2003 09:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Right. IF I was there, I'd maybe book a flight for a line-up that good(except Casiotone who I don't really know, but am waiting for cd in the post with baited breath).

And only $10???? wtf?

You people have it too good.

Nordicskillz (Nordicskillz), Friday, 9 May 2003 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I might check out that Rapture show too.

Spencer, if you are going, mind if I hitch a ride? I'll chip in for gas or whatever, and we can meet up with Matt Maxwell for a cynically sublime dinner.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Dudes! I only saw this message today!

There's this stuff called 'e-mail'. Perhaps you've heard of it?

Hurm. Aren't the Lovetones also playing on the 17th?

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:52 (twenty-two years ago)

DB is a lazy man, Mr. Maxwell. Mock him.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 9 May 2003 15:54 (twenty-two years ago)

Thing is Ned, I would be staying in La Costa at my parents' place that night...

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 9 May 2003 16:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah, no worries. I'll figure out something. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 9 May 2003 16:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeesh... Yes indeedy, The Lovetones/BJM show is on the 17th at the Casbah.

Er... FAP?

Chris Barrus (Chris Barrus), Saturday, 10 May 2003 02:02 (twenty-two years ago)

At the very least, FAP. :-) Individual locations can then be determined.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 10 May 2003 02:06 (twenty-two years ago)

FAP beforehand I mean, before we all disappear to our respective shows
