I'm trying to imagine what kind of movie they would make together.

Bruce Campbell's been doing better than ever, at least commercially. Had a supporting role in big-budget/big-bombs Serving Sara and the Majestic. And he's gonna be in the new Phantasm movie. He'll never go hungry.

Cary Elwes was in Shadow Of The Vampire and the Cat's Meow, two recent relatively successful art films. He's not doing bad either, though clearly shifting to character parts rather than leads. He shouldn't have done Liar, Liar in my opinion. Though Pierce Brosnan certainly survived playing Scary New Dad in Mrs. Doubtfire.

AS YOU WISH

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm hoping to happen in my life.

you'll piss him off by associating with some crazy flyboy, though. He'll take his chafing dish and go home.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Sunday, 20 April 2003 22:29 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not like I was asking him to stay for long.

Though Pierce Brosnan certainly survived playing Scary New Dad in Mrs. Doubtfire.

It's been all downhill for him ever since his role as "Irishman #1" in The Long Good Friday, as far as I'm concerned.

Not to worry: check the photo carefully, he looks like a bottle blond.

Cary Elwes is from a family of LA Brit (English accent, California driver's license) art patrons (and went to my college for about six minutes). I suspect he does not need the money.

suzy (suzy), Monday, 21 April 2003 05:46 (twenty-two years ago)

But he needs the validation! At least the parking validation
