Misheard TV Dialogue

We've all heard and discussed misheard song lyrics, but what about stuff you misheard from the TV or whatever? This happens quite frequently if you're not concentrating on the television and just have it on as background while you work on the computer. My sister thought that a trailer for a Nickelodeon TV movie starring the Olsen Twins which went "Mary Kate & Ashley are trying to find their dad's girlfriend" was "Mary Kate & Ashley are trying to find their dead girlfriend". I don't know about you but I think that would be quite an interesting movie...

I can't think of owt interesting in this respect. A friend of mine thought a line in Withnail & I went: "Pete's just had an audition" when, in fact, Withnail refers to Marwood and says "He's just had an audition".

I saw god on tv and thought he was speaking to me.

What exactly was I telling you anyway?

twenty-three years pass...

Not gonna start a new thread called Misheard Podcast Dialogue, but on the latest The Best Show, Tom Scharpling and Marc Maron have a brief discussion speculating how Sam Kinison's comedy and politics would have played out were he around in 2025. In introducing the topic, though, Maron refers to him only as "Kinison," which I misheard as "Tennyson" and it made for a very confusing couple of minutes.
