As for getting to the wilds of Silverlake from Sherman Oaks-- well, you know, I think there's a Glendale Blvd. exit off of the 101 South. Just get off and head away from downtown (left). You'll pass Echo Park Lake, go under Sunset Blvd. and eventually come upon the Red Lion, about a half mile from the 2 overpass. It's on the right. Across from Rockaway Records. Easy!

Alternately, if you don't want to deal with the 101 - just take your favorite way to the 5. Head south towards downtown. Go past the LA Zoo and Atwater Village and take the 2 (Glendale Fwy) south toward downtown. Take the Glendale Bl. exit and turn right at the light. Go over the top of the hill and the Red Lion will be on the right-hand side.

Spaceland may be out but you don't have to be carded for the Red Lion, I think -- it's not a bar per se, but a restaurant that also serves alcohol. So you can still FAP!

Maybe I'm alone here, but this was a better FAP than last time since, um, I ACTUALLY FOUND IT.

The good: Arthur bought me a drink (I owe him next time) and I met a nice monolithic monster and someone was playing led zeppelin on a piano behind me, while across the potato pancakes on the table there was an interesting couple from another continent. Oh and my car did not unexpectedly die after this FAP

The bad: There wasn't any Chaki there.

The ugly: Well this isn't really too ugly but still strange, how when I walked in I saw this man with long hair at the bar and thought that was Ned and felt really strange inside when he wouldn't talk to Arthur and me, when we were standing right there. But it didn't turn out to be Ned, just someone else's long hair. Ugly things happen....

...but overall it was a good FAP, which I'm glad I FOUND for a change!!@@@

I think ILx makes me dyslexic. I am reinstating my hiatus, not only due to this reason, but also because Geeta has admitted her predetermined bias against my views on the Bhakti, which proves my suspicions right that she's just lookin' to FITE and i shouldn't bother wasting time to finish my post that i've now worked 13 hours on, until I get a good reason to waste time, like finding a job, or another place to waste it at.

So if there are any more FAPs before the big one when the Garethgod descends upon us, someone just email me please.
