Is it just me, or is this completely despicable?
I mean...Tom Green and Jackass have pranks that are certainly annoying, very annoying, and somewhat troubling...but "Scare Tactics" is on a whole other plane - what are they thinking?!
So. Is this show defendable in any way? Is this a new low in television?

Still, there have been a couple of pranks (thinking of the serial killer hitchhiker one) in which if I was the victim I would have gone into a complete adrenal frenzy and pounded the hell out of someone. Yeah, real funny...

I saw a German version of this once where they got somebody up in a light aircraft and the pilot faked a heart attack and put the plane into a nosedive. That was wrong.

Infarto (Spanish for heart attack) is a hidden camera show on TV Azteca / Azteca América. People appearing on the show have been subjected to pranks such as the victim believing that they will be sacrificed in a cult ritual or believing that they will be murdered by axe-wielding neighbors in the midst of a blackout. Because of the extreme and traumatizing nature of the show's content, the authenticity of the show is heavily debated. This is similar to Sci-Fi Channel's original show, Scare Tactics.

Room 401 on MTV with the lovable Asthon Kutcher totally rips this off. There was a fun episode where a stoner lugging stuff for an ice-carving company barely notices when someone gets cut in two with a chainsaw - but then this girl gets really upset when she thinks she sees someone sucked into a jet engine and killed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLccwNCr3VY
