Also search: Safeway Select Fruit Bars, esp. the Mandarin Orange, but the strawberry holds its own, as well. Look for it at your local Safeway-owned supermarket!

The Edy's (Dryer's here in the west) coconut bars are the shit. Also FRUITIKI; I don't know if this brand is outside the southwest U.S.
― Abbott, Friday, 7 March 2008 19:54 (seventeen years ago)
fruit bars can be refreshing, but nothing beats a good frozen custard.
― lauren, Friday, 7 March 2008 19:56 (seventeen years ago)
Fruitiki! Coconut is the best (I am biased, however). They're based in El Paso, so I have no idea where all they're sold outside of my area.

Supposedly as a four-year-old I once threw a massive, nearly unending fit in an amusement park about how I didn't want frozen YOGURT, I wanted frozen CUSTARD, although I'm not actually sure I knew the difference. I changed my mind after my parents spanked the shit out of me.

haha @ the site claiming, "Coconut flavor fruit bars: A good source of fiber!" Uh huh. So's pencil shavings, I hear.
I was reading about some other brand of fruit bar earlier today (it's been on my mind) and they were described as "Guilt-free!" Listen here -- if you're eating any kind of fruit-and-water-based confection off of a stick and feeling guilty about it, you really need some more excitement in your life. Mix it up a bit. Do something that will *actually* make you feel guilty once in a while. Spend a whole paycheck in a bar and wake up with your shoes on. That always does it for me.

amusement parks and frozen treats and toddlers are a dangerous combo. i threw the worst tantrum of my life at centre island in toronto when my mother took a few bites of my bomb pop and ate most of the blue part.
― lauren, Friday, 7 March 2008 20:13 (seventeen years ago)
well yeah but that shit is fucked up
