something about the two words 'pop clock' seem to fit w/ the general idea of birth. winston would be telling us that they aren't all nzers though, wouldn't he.

Boy, does the world feel small. This internet thing is wacky.

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 24 April 2003 04:28 (twenty-two years ago)

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 24 April 2003 04:31 (twenty-two years ago)

more new zealanders seems a good thing to me.

gabriel (gabe), Thursday, 24 April 2003 04:52 (twenty-two years ago)

Fpur million people live in Houston. You do need to surpass them at least, please. More getting it on down there!

That Girl (thatgirl), Thursday, 24 April 2003 05:00 (twenty-two years ago)

we're not making replacement population levels w/out immigrants - thankfully people seem to wanna live here and so we aren't shrinking.

Clare (not entirely unhappy), Thursday, 24 April 2003 06:18 (twenty-two years ago)

If only somebody would do the math so we could all know which New Zealander we are, numerically speaking.

rainy (rainy), Thursday, 24 April 2003 06:27 (twenty-two years ago)

But wouldn't you all have to keep shuffling up as people drop off.

Ed (dali), Thursday, 24 April 2003 06:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Personal ads could be so awesome. "Power-of-ten seeks prime number for multiplication; drop me your digits and we'll get quadratic."

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 24 April 2003 06:48 (twenty-two years ago)

You can watch it live here.

I thought this would be a link to a webcam which would show the lucky toddler being born. I guess I was expecting too much from InterWeb...

New Zealand has the best good music per capita ratio in the history of humankind.

Mr. Diamond (diamond), Thursday, 24 April 2003 06:56 (twenty-two years ago)

mr diamond, that makes me proud to be a kiwi, and i haven't felt like that in a while.

Clare (not entirely unhappy), Thursday, 24 April 2003 07:15 (twenty-two years ago)

its embarrasing that the four millionth new zealander being born is BIG NEWS here. why the hell didn't i watch the simpsons instead?

di smith (lucylurex), Thursday, 24 April 2003 07:20 (twenty-two years ago)

it was a nation building exercise - helen's outta the country for five minutes (getting us better visas in the EU) and NZ, spokespersonless, needs to run a 10 minute 'news' story on us; on being kiwis and on what's changed. the night before last there was something about ed hillary...

Clare (not entirely unhappy), Thursday, 24 April 2003 07:43 (twenty-two years ago)

New Zealand has the best good music per capita ratio in the history of humankind.

I'd give that honor to Jamaica.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 24 April 2003 08:01 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd give it to Stourbridge /facetiousness>

Matt (Matt), Thursday, 24 April 2003 12:52 (twenty-two years ago)
