A sudden attack of nostalgia?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Sudden?!

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:45 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, a sudden attack of "nothing interesting to say"?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Tuomas - it's his schtick

chris (chris), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:46 (twenty-two years ago)

It isn't exactly the funniest one, is it?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:48 (twenty-two years ago)

What's wrong with reviving old threads?

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:49 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't know, it doesn't have to be funny. It's kind of odd to see my old posts from back in the day and see that I was a pretty much, not different, but changed person. if you know what I mean. It's thought provoking anyway.

chris (chris), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:50 (twenty-two years ago)

But he generally has something to add beyond "I remember this".

Oh, as I write he's said something interesting on the Fight thread. Never mind, then.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:51 (twenty-two years ago)

(Nipper's instant reply = classic for sure)

(Cabbage is right too)

(I think there are too many threads, and too many new ones always getting started)

the pinefox, Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Maybe I'll appreciate it when I've been here longer. Now, it's just confusing... Could you at least revive threads that are more interesting?

Tuomas (Tuomas), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Restarting old threads isn't a worthwhile goal in itself: if they just fall down the back of the ILX sofa then it's just adding to the clutter.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:53 (twenty-two years ago)

NB: I do heart the pinefox, don't get me wrong.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:54 (twenty-two years ago)

No one steps into the same thread twice.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Thursday, 24 April 2003 10:57 (twenty-two years ago)

ah, but where is the boy *dastoor* when you need him? and what is this *ilxor* you all keep talking of, i don't believe it exists, it is but a chimera i feel. the nipper is, of course, right as usual, i knew *he* would have the answer, the wheel is indeed round, only welthorpe, and perhaps the ever insightful hopkins could have picked up on that quite so beautifully. wonderful stuff, quite wonderful!

gareth (gareth), Thursday, 24 April 2003 11:13 (twenty-two years ago)

No one steps into the same thread twice.

No one steps into the same thread once.

So what the hell does this Pinefox guy look like, anyway? Does he really look like a football player, as I had been lead to believe?

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Thursday, 24 April 2003 11:28 (twenty-two years ago)

he is a giant!

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Thursday, 24 April 2003 11:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't think there's anything wrong with reviving threads, esp. since there's been a lack of interesting ones lately.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 24 April 2003 12:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Gareth, I kiss you.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 24 April 2003 12:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Football players don't wear jumpers.

MarkH (MarkH), Thursday, 24 April 2003 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

He looks more like Wolverine, if Wolverine wore purple sweaters.

Nicole (Nicole), Thursday, 24 April 2003 12:48 (twenty-two years ago)

He wears yellow spandex, I don't see why purple jumpers would be unusual.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 24 April 2003 12:49 (twenty-two years ago)

gareth, I kick you.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 24 April 2003 13:02 (twenty-two years ago)

RJG, I kiss you.

Ally (mlescaut), Thursday, 24 April 2003 13:11 (twenty-two years ago)

But they need them for goalposts, MarkH

Mooro (Mooro), Thursday, 24 April 2003 13:59 (twenty-two years ago)

He looks more like Wolverine, if Wolverine wore purple sweaters.

He wears yellow spandex, I don't see why purple jumpers would be unusual.

I MUST FLIRT WITH HIM, NOW! NOW! NOW!

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Thursday, 24 April 2003 14:34 (twenty-two years ago)

I like it when old threads come back.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Friday, 25 April 2003 18:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you, dear Pinefox. Thank you times infinity.

Sarah McLusky (coco), Friday, 25 April 2003 18:56 (twenty-two years ago)

Almost entirely unrelated - mr pinefox, you're not related to anyone called Chuck Thomas, are you?

William Bloody Swygart (mrswygart), Friday, 25 April 2003 19:03 (twenty-two years ago)

I always feel 'safer' on ILE when the 'old gang' are around - and where is Tom?

Andrew L (Andrew L), Friday, 25 April 2003 20:38 (twenty-two years ago)

I vote YES on Operation: Pinefox. Old threads are fun.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Friday, 25 April 2003 20:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Tom's in France according to NYLPM, and he has some massive phone bill.

jel -- (jel), Friday, 25 April 2003 20:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Chow, Miller, McLusky: you are kind. (So are some other people.)

the pinefox, Saturday, 26 April 2003 10:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Saturday, 26 April 2003 10:12 (twenty-two years ago)

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Sunday, 27 April 2003 10:02 (twenty-two years ago)
